[Open] Catch-all for January
Characters: Captain Amelia & YOU
Date: Throughout January
Location: Various
Situation: January threads
Warnings/Rating: None for starters, but will be updated if needed.
A. Tea Shop
Amelia is nothing if not a tea connoisseur of sorts, and now sits in a small tea shop near the border of the Earth and Fire sectors. She's been here once before, and it has left a good impression on her, although this visit she is alone. The captain has seated herself at smaller table, and drinks her tea alone, simply watching the passersby.
She would not be opposed to company, of course, and keeps a relaxed air about herself.
B. Turtle's Head
The turmoil following the Emperor's death and the subsequent capture and execution of the perpetrator has been troubling, and while she is glad for the beginnings of a proper military establishment in the formation of the Keeliai Aerial Corps, Amelia does desire a moment's peace. A recollection of a conversation from her initial arrival on Tu Vishan has surfaced, and the captain has found herself at the head of the great turtle.
True to Santos' words, as she approaches the great head, a feeling of calm begins to make itself known.

So it's a bit of a surprise to see Amelia (Captain Amelia, he must remember the honorific) there. He's still a little ashamed of how he'd snapped at her back during landfall, and decides to walk over and say hello against his own better judgment.
"Captain," he says by way of greeting, both hands curled around a mug of tea.
Re: A
She doesn't blame him for the landfall events; he is young, and a boy. In fact, with the recent happenings regarding the Emperor's death and her killer's capture she hasn't really thought of it at all. It is only Gene's arrival within the shop that brings the memories back in force.
Amelia takes another sip of her tea. "How have you been holding up, with the recent events?"
no subject
He takes the seat across from her, setting down his mug of tea. At her question, he shrugs, looking indifferent. "It was a shock. But I'm glad they caught that man." Because these events did two things for him: they taught him that even these kedan Emperors could be brought low, and they thinned out some possible competition by executing the culprit. Not like he was going to tell Amelia any of that. "How about yourself?"

Her trip to the Turtle's Head with Balthazar several months ago had been enjoyable and she had been wanting to go back to the same place since she had originally taken ill. Now she had finally gained enough time to do so and it felt just as good as the first time. Holiday took a deep breath of the air before noticing the other... woman... She looked peculiar, but the doctor had seen mutations like that - a lot of them much worse - back home, so it didn't phase her past the point of noticing the ears.
Rebecca smiled to her. "Good morning for a walk."
