She was a different kid from a different world. The worst of Sarah's problems back home was finishing up the book report for school, or finding a ride home from soccer training if her dad was working late. From her fathers perspective, things had been tough. From Sarah's, her problems had been slim to none.
Even now, she faced the situations thrown her way with a somewhat naive optimism. Things couldn't get too bad, could they? Her last moments at home were sign enough that they could. Sarah refused to acknowledge them.
"Everyone's been real awesome," she said, throwing a small smile at Midii. "I was kinda freakin' out a bit before they, you, everyone, started replyin' on the console. It's... nice not being alone in this."
