[OPEN] Catch all for Sarah!
Characters: Sarah and YOU!
Date: Throughout January. Dates will be in headers!
Location: All over the turtle. Mostly Wood Sector.
Situation: Sarah meets a bunch of people face to face + random thread starters!
Warnings/Rating: Nothing worth mention so far.
A.
Exploration has become a major part of Sarah's day. There's a lot on her mind, a lot more she'd rather forget and so she's doing all she can to keep busy. It helps that she's in a new area and things are pretty damn interesting compared to home. The wood sector remains her home turf and the place she's checked out the most, but from time to time, she wanders out of what she's dubbed her safe zone.
On this day however, she's looking a little lost. Map in hand, Sarah frowns at the page as she tries to work out just where the heck she is.
B.
She's in the marketplace, searching the stalls and browsing the variety at hand. From time to time, Sarah pauses to simply watch an exchange between two Kedan, or to stop and talk to one. Whatever it is she's looking for, the kid just can't seem to find it.

For Tess - Jan 11th
She might not know Tess, but the woman knows her father and that's sign enough of a comfort zone in this whole mess for Sarah to run with it. Besides, Tess has offered nothing but aid.
And so she sits by the door of her apartment in the same blood stained pajamas she arrived in, ignoring the hole in the fabric and waiting for Tess to arrive.

Maybe it's not obligation. Maybe it's simply loyalty - a kind of stubborn, bullheaded loyalty that Tess has only ever given to Joel. Even after all this time, even after what happened in Boston, and now being here, without him, Tess won't break those bonds.
She knows very little about Sarah, save that she is his daughter, and that she died in the initial outbreak - at the hands of a soldier. That's it. It's weird for her to think about it, but she knows she's technically only five, six years older than Sarah. It's weird, but maybe - remembering what it was like to be a kid before everything went to hell - maybe that'll help her find some common ground.
She spots the girl, and her mouth gets dry at the sight of all that blood on her clothes. Shit. No one should see her like this. She's glad, for a moment, that Joel isn't here to see it. She's got a pair of sweatpants and a t-shirt, the smallest she could find on short notice, hopefully they'll work okay. Tess is a small, skinny woman, at least.
"Hey there," she says, approaching, unable to completely mask the concern in her eyes at the sight of the girl. "Let's get rid of that stuff, yeah?"
no subject
Tess has the look of a woman who knows how to handle herself and the girl can't help but admire that. She's glad to know Tess is on her side. At the look in Tess' eye and the mention of her clothes, Sarah nods and gets to her feet.
Without even thinking her hands move to cover the hole in the material. She focuses her attention on Tess. "So uh, thanks for this. I owe you big time."
no subject
She should burn the clothes Sarah's wearing now, she thinks. Even back home, they wouldn't be salvageable, and here? They're just a morbid reminder of Sarah's fate.
no subject
She'll let it drop for now, but if all goes well and Tess doesn't turn out to be some kind of crazy person, Sarah might just find a sneaky way to make it up to her. Slowly she cracks the door open a little more and motions for Tess to come in.

For Midii - Jan 11th
Still, she's nervous. The longer she's here, the more time Sarah has to think and the less she finds herself wanting to. Distractions are welcome, and friends? Well, she could definitely use a few of those right now.
no subject
That evening, for instance, she saw no reason to change out of her usual outfit. Her pants were black denim, durable and comfortable, and the dark blue sweater-dress, easy to clean. Her hair was brushed back into a low ponytail to keep it out of her face. Makeup was nonexistant.
WO-3A. That was where Jack lived. And where Damian's brother, Richard, used to live. Midii knew the address had seemed familiar to her. It wasn't hard to find. Large treehouses tended to be difficult to miss. She was even early, preempting the designating meeting time by more than ten minutes.
Now, all she had to do was wait for Sarah to come out, and they could head to the restaurant together.

Wrestling one shoe onto her foot, then the other, Sarah edges towards the front of the tree house. A moment later, jacket in hand, she opens the door and shoots Midii a slightly nervous smile.
"Hey, sorry I took so long."
no subject
"It's alright. I wasn't waiting very long." Straightening, she turned her body in the direction they would be heading to give Sarah a heads-up. "Are you ready? I thought we could take the long way. Main streets, mostly, but that way, you'll be able to see more of the city."
no subject
Nice as Midii and everyone else was being, Sarah couldn't shake the feeling of strangeness at everything that's happened. A little awkwardly, she fell into step beside the other girl and shoved her hands into her pockets. "Thanks for this. I'd be a lost cause without ya."

For Ellie - time frame yet to be determined :|a
no subject
Ellie never bothered containing her excitement about food, and this was no different. It wasn't often she had extra money that she could spend any way she wanted. But she wasn't about to waste the opportunity to get something for Sarah. Which, by the way, it was still hard getting used to the fact that Sarah was alive. Ellie knew Joel'd want them to be friends, but it was hard knowing how to connect to her.
Ellie had grown up after the fall of society, and Sarah had never really gotten the chance to experience anything other than a normal life.
So, there was bound to be differences, right?
no subject
Sarah's yet to work out just what from home is here and what isn't. Cake hadn't even crossed her mind as a possibility. She's not someone that's usually shy, but even Sarah has her moments. Meeting Ellie is both amazing and a little intimidating. The other girl is just awesome in her books.
Still, she moves on over at the invitation to and leans to see what Ellie's found. "Aw man, this is gonna be awesome."
For Jack Frost - Jan 14th
Rather than wait inside like she would of before, Sarah cracks open the door and peeks on out. He's gotta be close by, right?

"Hey there!" she says, smiling but taking care not to smile too much. Jack's kind of awesome, in her opinion. All the more reason to play it cool.
no subject
"Hey Sarah," Jack replied, holding up the pamphlets. "I brought these but, I thought maybe the in-person tour would be better for a nice day like today."

Looking down, he smiles sheepishly at her. Jesus, another kid? Here?
'Sorry, wasn't looking where I was going.'

Luckily, Sarah manages to keep her balance. "Whoa!" The collision was one she definitely didn't see coming.
"That's alright. Honestly, I wasn't paying much attention either."

A week or so ago, there would of been a lot to tell from Sarah's appearance; a hole in her shirt and a bloody mess surrounding it, for one. But for now, she's got new clothes and looks the part of your average kid.
His question earns the shake of her head. "Nah, I was just trying to find something. From home, you know? I have nooo idea if they'd have it here."

A - Wood Sector Borders?
"Hey there, kiddo," he says, an easy greeting as he slows to a stop in front of her. He's wearing his kutte with all his Reaper patches clear to sight, but his smile's right and congenial. "You lookin' for some place?"
sounds good!
"Uh, well," she starts, glancing from him to the map in her hands. "I was tryin' to find a restaurant. It's got a blue squirrel thing on the door. You wouldn't know it, would you?"
