[OPEN] Catch all for Sarah!
Characters: Sarah and YOU!
Date: Throughout January. Dates will be in headers!
Location: All over the turtle. Mostly Wood Sector.
Situation: Sarah meets a bunch of people face to face + random thread starters!
Warnings/Rating: Nothing worth mention so far.
A.
Exploration has become a major part of Sarah's day. There's a lot on her mind, a lot more she'd rather forget and so she's doing all she can to keep busy. It helps that she's in a new area and things are pretty damn interesting compared to home. The wood sector remains her home turf and the place she's checked out the most, but from time to time, she wanders out of what she's dubbed her safe zone.
On this day however, she's looking a little lost. Map in hand, Sarah frowns at the page as she tries to work out just where the heck she is.
B.
She's in the marketplace, searching the stalls and browsing the variety at hand. From time to time, Sarah pauses to simply watch an exchange between two Kedan, or to stop and talk to one. Whatever it is she's looking for, the kid just can't seem to find it.

For Jack Frost - Jan 14th
Rather than wait inside like she would of before, Sarah cracks open the door and peeks on out. He's gotta be close by, right?

"Hey there!" she says, smiling but taking care not to smile too much. Jack's kind of awesome, in her opinion. All the more reason to play it cool.
no subject
"Hey Sarah," Jack replied, holding up the pamphlets. "I brought these but, I thought maybe the in-person tour would be better for a nice day like today."
no subject
"Are you sure? I mean, it'd definitely help if you did but if you've got stuff to do or somewhere to be then don't let me keep you." No matter how eager she was, Sarah couldn't help but check and check again that this wasn't putting Jack out of his way.

The spirit's smile stretched even more. "I've got nothing to be doing right now except hanging out with you," he replies, drawing an X over the front of his blue sweatshirt. "Cross my icy little heart. Where'd you wanna check out first?"
no subject
The girl grinned a little broader, watching Baby Tooth a moment more before she looked to Jack. His question earned a pause. "Uhh, well, I don't really know much about the place. Where's... fun?"
no subject
"Well," Jack said thoughtfully. "The Fire Sector has the best sights. Have you seen the flame fountains yet? And they have the best places to get snacks, too."
no subject
"No, I haven't been there. Not yet, anyway." Everything in her tone suggested she wanted to go though. "I've looked around Earth a little, my friend lives there, but mostly just Wood Sector other than that."
no subject
"Wood Sector mostly, huh? You should really branch out."
no subject
"Oh Jack, you're so damn punny," comes the reply, girl grinning up at him.
no subject
"Sarah, yew have no idea just how much I pine for someone to throw these jokes at. They just get all backlogged in my head fir days on end. It's a good thing I spruce them up before their delivery though."
no subject
"You poor sap!" Sarah feigned concern, though the smile was still fighting to be seen and her amusement was still clear. "Oh well, not mulch to do about that now."
no subject
"You've gotta pun at a whole new level around here to keep up, trust me. Zatanna and I get going on it something fierce."
no subject
Gaining control, Sarah shook her head and motioned vaguely to the path he'd cleared before them. "All of that. I mean. Wow."
no subject
no subject
His offer to show her more earned a grin. "I'd really, really like to see that. The flame fountains and the fish place too though!"
Every time she talked to Jack, the more Sarah realized there's so much she was yet to see in this place. For all her exploration, she'd barely scratched the surface.

"There we go..."
no subject
The words spilled from her mouth before she could stop them. Sarah wasn't one to swear, well, aside from the few not-quite-curses in her vocabulary, but the sight before her was all kinds of amazing.
"Sorry! I mean. Wow." She looked to Jack, a little sheepish at the swearing but grinning from ear to ear. "You weren't kidding."
no subject
"They're not hot," Jack clarified. "You can touch them if you want."
no subject
"Yeah not hot to you maybe. I'm not magic at all. That'd burn me to a crisp!"
But still, standing where she was, Sarah should of felt some heat from the flame.
no subject
"Bean didn't want to touch them at first either," Jack said. "When I took him flying, I said he could stick his hand through the fire. I understand if you don't want to and that's okay, but I'd never tell you something's safe if I thought it would hurt you."
no subject
"I know," Sarah said, voice quiet as she took a seat beside him. "Just... It's really different to home. There's things that are normal for me that won't be normal for you and..."
She trailed off, looking from him to the fire and back again. "I trust you Jack, I do."
