[OPEN] Catch all for Sarah!

Characters: Sarah and YOU!
Date: Throughout January. Dates will be in headers!
Location: All over the turtle. Mostly Wood Sector.
Situation: Sarah meets a bunch of people face to face + random thread starters!
Warnings/Rating: Nothing worth mention so far.

A.
Exploration has become a major part of Sarah's day. There's a lot on her mind, a lot more she'd rather forget and so she's doing all she can to keep busy. It helps that she's in a new area and things are pretty damn interesting compared to home. The wood sector remains her home turf and the place she's checked out the most, but from time to time, she wanders out of what she's dubbed her safe zone.

On this day however, she's looking a little lost. Map in hand, Sarah frowns at the page as she tries to work out just where the heck she is.

B.
She's in the marketplace, searching the stalls and browsing the variety at hand. From time to time, Sarah pauses to simply watch an exchange between two Kedan, or to stop and talk to one. Whatever it is she's looking for, the kid just can't seem to find it.

The winter spirit laughed at the reaction to Baby Tooth, as the faerie took a spot on Sarah's shoulder like she often did on Jack's. He shouldered the long hooked staff easily, moving as though it were a natural limb for him.

"Wood Sector mostly, huh? You should really branch out."

Well, she asked for it!

"Sarah, yew have no idea just how much I pine for someone to throw these jokes at. They just get all backlogged in my head fir days on end. It's a good thing I spruce them up before their delivery though."

"Much better," Jack laughed, flicking out his hand and clearing a slick patch of ice from the walkway ahead of them so their path was clear, turning the ice into flurries that whirled away on the breeze.

"You've gotta pun at a whole new level around here to keep up, trust me. Zatanna and I get going on it something fierce."

The spirit grins at her reaction, turning to walk backwards with his staf slung across his shoulder blades. "Wouldn't be much of a Seasonal if I couldn't even do that," he replied. "Usually I'm adding snow rather than removing it but no one wants to end up with a cracked skull today. Controlling Winter though... it's no different than the other three can do. If you want, I can show you something on a larger scale later today, when we've got some open space."

"Don't worry, we're on our way to those," Jack chuckled at her excitement. As walked through the Wood Sector, the roads winding their way between the huge trees that made up the various suite complexes. He'd often wondered why, when trees here were so rare and protected, that some of them had been made into housing. They were heading in the direction of the Palace which eventually took them out of the Wood Sector and into Fire. The architecture changed, with warmer colours taking over the decorating scheme and soon the fire fountains came into view.

"There we go..."

Baby Tooth chirped happily at the reaction, lifting off Sarah's shoulder and darting for the leaping flames and then flying right through them, turning a few spins so the girl could see that she wasn't singed.

"They're not hot," Jack clarified. "You can touch them if you want."

Jack doesn't push, but he takes a seat on the knee height lip of the fountain's basin and pats the space beside him. It's a wide enough surround that even if the flames were hot, it wouldn't be close enough to burn.

"Bean didn't want to touch them at first either," Jack said. "When I took him flying, I said he could stick his hand through the fire. I understand if you don't want to and that's okay, but I'd never tell you something's safe if I thought it would hurt you."

"You don't have to explain," the spirit responded. "Everything's new for you here and let's face it, you did just meet me not long ago. But you know? That means you get to learn, you get to discover. There's nothing wrong with that."

Jack tilted his head curiously at her question. "Always do what?" he asked, unsure to what she was referring.

Genuine affection lit Jack's blue eyes and he leaned over so he could bump her shoulder with his own playfully. "Flatterer."

Jack laughed a little, getting to his feet again and offering her a hand. "So we juts happen to be near a place that sells amazing crepes. Ever had one?"

"You bet," he replied and led her to a small shop nearby. Inside there were tables set up where the crepes (or at least the kedan version of) were cooked up crisp and warm before being passed over to the pair, who could put anything and everything on display -- fruit, nuts, sweet jams, meat, cheeses, everything -- into them as they liked.

The owner of the shop appeared to recognize Jack and the spirit asked about someone named Enthil, and was told that he was doing well.
