[ Twelve, actually. And it shows that he's still a bit shorter than Nico, when Robin makes a casual flip down from his perch, lands in a graceful crouch, and then straightens up to look up at the teen, not at all perturbed by the height difference. ]

Protecting people's part of the job description.

[ He tilts his head to one side, looking Nico up and down through the lenses, then shrugs. ]

You're one of Annabeth's people. I doubt she'd have let you get away with that for long, anyway.

[ job description. like the strangely coloured clothes and mask made this kid some kind of what - superhero? before he can comment on that, his attention's brought to the fact that he's called annabeth's people, whatever that entails, and his eyes narrow in greater annoyance. ]

I'm my own person.

[ he definitely sounds irked at the label, although he himself isn't sure if it's because he'd been put under a label linked to annabeth, or whether the kid knows about demigods and has lumped them all together like that, or both. ]

[ Sorry, Nico. Damian knew only Annabeth for half a year, before any of the other demigods showed up. She was a sort of friend, so, any of her friends? Would count as her people, to him. Not to mention that, from what he can tell about the demigods, they were very strongly their divine parents' children. Double-cross of the whole 'my own person' claim. ]

I don't see why some kid should even care.

[ nico's got one of those complicated relationship with their godly parents, but who didn't with the way that they were usually treated? still, there's a difference in his mind between being affiliated with hades and being affiliated with annabeth. ]

[ Oh, yeah. Damian would have hissed something about not being a kid, he'd have been offended. Robin... Robin is something else. But, at least, the sharp suspicion is somewhat relieved. A little. Annabeth knew the people from her world, and she'd have alerted people, if someone bad had showed up. ]
