[Honestly, Percy's glad he decided to do this. Not only because it's been more than a month since he actually saw the ocean, but because it's nice to just...do something fun with someone. Especially Clara, who not only seems nice, but is someone he has exactly no baggage with. Percy's noticed that it's really hard to get through a conversation lately with people who keep reminding him of hell.]

Okay, are you ready for this? [He grins over at Clara as Captain Bobby Tennyson just sort of slams himself into the water as it laps at the edge of the shell] Guess he's excited.

[Clara wraps her arms around herself and shivers slightly in the cold air before jumping out of the way as Tennyson dives into the ocean. She leans over to check to make sure the baby is okay before turning back to Percy.]

Are you sure I won't catch hypothermia?

[Their turtle nudges a little at Clara's shins as if to reassure her, but not enough to tip her over.]

I promise. You won't even get wet, watch-- [And the water at the edge of the beach starts to push back, away from them. All down the rest of the beach it laps against the turtle uninterrupted, but in the little area in front of them it's like someone put up a glass wall. Percy concentrates a little, and the dry area expands further. The Captain scuttles over to investigate] See? When we go under, it'll be a sort of bubble.

[She says more to herself than anyone else. She reaches out and pets Tenn's nose before taking Percy's arm and giving him a nod that it's okay for him to lead her into the sea.]
