Clark Kent / Sυperмαɴ / Kal-El ([personal profile] andaway) wrote in [community profile] tushanshu_logs2014-02-27 10:06 pm

You shout with nothing to say

Characters: Superman & Open (set after Jor-El's release from prison)
Date: February & probably part of March
Location: The Prison
Situation: The Kryptonians are known for their guilt complexes- and this time, they have a lot to feel guilty about. And what better way to make sure corruption doesn't get him again than to stay in prison? Pity he can't avoid the visits.
Warnings/Rating: Talks about murder, mutilation, parricide...

Kal was honestly at lost on what to do.

Part of him knew he couldn't stay here indefinitely. It was one of the reasons he'd asked his father for a way to find a way to mimic his voice, to give Clark Kent an excuse: he knew he'd eventually be out and he'd need that side of himself again- even though it was also a way to keep Lois out it, to make sure no one put two and two together and used her to get back at him. It had happened once, it had been the closest he'd gotten to kill until Brainiac. He wasn't going to repeat the experience.

But he couldn't just leave, not matter what Evandau had said.

They weren't acting out of choice? Maybe, but he'd still had life slip through his fingers. He'd felt his blade dig inside his father's chest while he screamed in pain at losing his leg. He'd tossed people around, stepped on them, played with them. And every single thing was fresh in his mind, every little word, scream, sound, smell replayed inside his mind in high definition and he could only watch in an almost masochist fashion.

He might not have been himself, but that wasn't going to change anything he did. People who'd gone through death weren't going to just get over it, people he'd laughed at, hurt, tortured- some of the things he'd said would haunt him forever. He couldn't imagine what it must have been for the victims. How could he face them, face anyone when he knew the kind of monster he had inside, waiting for the right amount of corruption to get out? The Dragon, World Eater had been corrupted- so what chance did someone like Kal have? How long until it happened again, until there were bodies around him as he laughed once more because he hadn't had the guts to get the punishment he deserved?

As he lay down on the middle of his cell he covered his face with his hands, groaning softly to himself. The worst part of this was that he wasn't sure if he was actually facing the consequences by staying imprisoned... or avoiding them, by not daring to go out and speak to those he had wronged.

[OOC: Anyone's free to know Kal's in prison as of Evandau's post. Jor-El was freed after aproximately 48h (confirmed with awesomesauce mod) and while Kal was also offered he decided to stay in his cell. Evandau will humor him for around a month or so 8D

So this post is some sort of catch-all for the time Kal spends in prison alone, right after Jor is released. I'm fine with people yelling at him or outright hurting him, poke me with a pm or at plurk
