(no subject)
Characters: Iskierka, Hawke, and YOU.
Date: 3/2-3/3
Location: The Fire District, somewhat near Iskierka's apartments.
Situation: DRAGON SHENANIGANS. Also gang fighting. And maybe fire.
Warnings/Rating: R for RIDICULOUS. (Not really, G should be just fine.)
[--SO. Iskierka has had enough of the boring shenanigans that consist of daily life in Keeliai. There is no capital to be found, very few Frenchmen to hunt, and the battles are far too few between for her liking. In all honesty, this was going to happen sooner or later -- Kaziliks are not known for their patience. Iskierka is no exception. In any case, she quite liked that Hawke fellow -- he seemed a capable sort, and he would likely have no objection to her idea. (Enjolras’ friend, she thought, might disagree. Perhaps they might retrieve him later.) She lands with a thud outside Hawke’s window -- and, too impatient to fuss with the windows or poke her head in the door, promptly attempts to stick her snout in through a window.]
Hallo? Hawke? You must come at once, I have a marvellous plan.
[Hawke whirls at the heavy thump outside his window. Notch, begins barking furiously at the intrusion, ready to defend his master’s home even against a massive steaming dragon. It takes a few shouts to calm the dog down and figure out what’s even going on. He’s used to people barging into his home to get his help, but a dragon nearly smashing through his window to do the same is a first for him.]
Plan. Right. That plan couldn’t involve knocking?
[She just gives him a baffled look. Knocking is for people with hands, Hawke, not 30 foot dragons who tend to break things with their tails. Somewhat peevishly (this should be obvious, clearly:)] No, the door is too small to reach. Do come out, we are going to hunt a gang! I am certain they will have capital, and we might help the Emperor as well!
Gang hunting?
[Hawke blinks, then grins. Now that sounded like a fine idea. It would rid the people of a thorn in their side as well as rid one in his.]
There’s a hobby I can get into.
Oh! Excellent. [She nudges at the window again, a tad impatiently, and twitches her tail.]
Come out, then, and you must help me put on my harness; I shall tell you how. Then we shall go to the Fire District, I know where there is a gang hiding.
[Once all the pertinent details: Hawke, harness, and possibly even Notch, presuming he is not scared off by the 30 foot ball of steam -- are secured, they all make their way to the Fire District. Iskierka lands somewhere not too far from her own apartments and crouches, trying to make herself somewhat less visible, and nods towards a nearby building.]
They are just in there, or their leaders are; we must go in and find them. I expect it will be easiest if you go first, I shall follow presently.

[Hawke's response is cool and collected.]
Maybe not, but when they try mugging me and attacking people I know my gloves come off.
no subject
Alright.
[And she starts towards him.]
How many are there?
no subject
You don't have to be here if you rather not be.
[There's no judgement in his tone. Hawke won't drag someone into a fight they don't want to be a apart of.]
Good question, I'm guessing somewhere between 'several' and 'a lot'. I wasn't exactly give many details when I was dragged here.
no subject
No, no. I'd much rather help out and hopefully do some good in regards to our M word friend than stand idle and do nothing.
[But she appreciates that he's given her the option.]
Just who dragged you here? The dragon? Who else is here?
no subject
That's the spirit. Do some good for the people here and maybe spit in the eye Lord Dark-and-Ugly while we're at it.
[Hawke gives a nonchalant shrug of the shoulders.]
A few of her friends, me, you, and him.
[He nods his head at Notch who looks toward her with hopeful eyes and wagging tail.]
no subject
And 'him'... is what, exactly.
no subject
He is about 200 pounds of ham loving, tail wagging war hound. I like to call him Notch.
[Notch's tongue lulls out in a doggy grin and he woofs happily at her though he stays by Hawke's side.]
Don't worry, if he wanted to bite you'd already be missing a leg.

[She's a little distrusting and doesn't even try to hide it. Nilin is ready to fight or flee if that dog comes her way.]
Dogs aren't built like that where I'm from.
[In fact, she's never really been around dogs. Neo-Paris is a little void of them.]
no subject
[Notch takes a step forward and lifts his paw, still looking at her with hopeful eyes.]
And where I'm from we like them big. Smart too. He even knows a few card games.
[Thank you for that Varric.]
no subject
All of that, she understands. What the dog is doing? Nilin has no idea. She doesn't back down at all.]
Now that you'll have to prove.
[A beat.]
What's it doing?
no subject
[Notch is more intelligent than any normal dog, any mabari is. It tends to be a little unnerving to people who aren't used to that, or maybe it's because of all the bulk.]
He is just saying hello.
[Notch woofs again shaking his raised paw.]
no subject
[What is this day even. She looks to Notch, watching him a moment.]
Um. Hello.
[She doesn't get the raised paw thing though.]
no subject
Shake his paw or he'll never put it back down. He might never leave you alone either.
[Then again, if Notch likes her then he definitely won't leave her alone.]
no subject
This better not be a joke.
[And then she steps forward to take Notch's paw and give it a polite shake.]
Happy now?
[The question is for the dog.]
no subject
[Just ignore the wide grin there Nilin.
Notch looks pleased as punch when she shakes his paw. He barks playfully in return, bouncing slightly off the ground as he does so.]
There, not so bad see? Still have all your limbs and everything.
no subject
[Interesting as the dog is, there's a job to be done. Nilin smirks faintly and motions to the dragon and others behind them.]
Can we say the same for these gang members once the fight comes into motion?
no subject
[So far Hawke's been content with leaving gang members with black eyes, busted jaws, and a ruined pride. Lately, they've been getting a lot more daring.]
They've been getting a little more violent towards me. Starting to think that they don't like me much.
no subject
Alright then. Just how much damage are we looking to deal here, exactly?
no subject
[For such a cold comment, there's no violence in his eyes nor anger or hate. It's almost like he's talking about the weather. Hawke's dealt with so many gangs in the past. This is just another notch in his axe.]
no subject
Remember that you said that.
no subject
[Hawke has a smirk of his own now watching her. Notch woofs again and his front paws hop off the ground slightly. He's also ready to kick some butt.]
