Characters: Combeferre and YOU

Location: Wandering about the city and sketching things.
Situation: Combeferre misses his bros.

[It had been a rough month or so, to say the least. Firstly, Enjolras was being secretive (again) -- they were likely due a talk about that at some point or another. Secondly -- and more importantly, the other third of their little 'trio' had returned home, to a fate they were all well-acquainted with. So Combeferre turned to what he normally did in times of stress -- working until he was too tired to think. Or, if frowned at enough, distracting himself with other sorts of interesting things.

Today, apparently, the frowning had done its trick, and so Combeferre is out purchasing supplies for his clinic. He may be found wandering the city streets -- and, at various points, he may also be found with a sketchbook, intent on scribbling down a quick sketch of some interesting form of fauna or flora that he has found. He might look like he's about to pass out from lack of sleep, but he is in a relatively good mood. Probably.]

[And it is something to mention to Joly, Enjolras thinks, reminding himself to drop the other man a message at that.]

Are you,so? I have been, well, things. But I did not mean for them to be the sort of thing that has me failing to notice if you need me.

It is alright, you have been -- occupied.

PRE-occupied, rather. But I never wished to leave you alone with, well, all of this.

I do not mind, so much. It has been....easy enough to lose myself.

I suppose so at that. Things have certainly not been easy otherwise, as of late, have they? I...wish that I knew more of what to say, or do.

It is alright. [A small, tired smile.] I am grateful for your presence, at the very least, love.

[Enjolras is not so sure it is. Not when this marks another time that he has found to pull away. That said, for now, he's scooting closer to Combeferre.]

As I am for yours, though it may not have seemed that way of late.

That is quite alright, as I said. We have all been trying to find ways to distract ourselves, I think.

We likely have, at that. Has it done you much good, or do you think it is better we try together? I lean towards that second one myself just now.

As do I. [There's a small, tired smile.] Though I generally welcome your companionship, you know.

I know. And I do the same with yours, of course.

[That is a tired smile in return.]

I think, perhaps, I'd better start on giving more of that to you then.

I would certainly have no objection to it.

[And there is a smile as he wraps an arm around Combeferre's shoulders, tugging him close for a moment.]

Because I have very little intent of letting you out of my sight for a while now.
