Situation: Various! These will include futzing with unused consoles, discovering the turtle baby, and also intercepting kedan informants. But Skulduggery’s going to be all over the Shell throughout the month, so feel free to chime in with your own.
Warnings/Rating: None for the moment. Well, there’s some lock-picking.

"Not exactly the way I'd put it but sure why not?" Hawke responds. It's hard to tell if Skulduggery is annoyed by this or just trying to figure the situation out. The complete lack of facial features makes it hard to read his face. He must be excellent at cards.

"Everything from what I can tell. Nearly lost my boots more than once after I left them on the floor. You might want to keep anything you don't want to lose out of reach." For all their size, sometimes Hawke forgets the turtles are still babies. Very curious babies.

"I'm not planning on keeping him in my suite," Skulduggery says. Honestly, he doesn't even think the turtle would fit through the doorway anymore - at least, not without taking a good portion of the door frame with him. "Where does he normally sleep? I suppose a stable somewhere is out of the question."

What was the turtle's name, for that matter?

Quintus! says the voice in Skulduggery's head cheerfully.

One mystery solved, out of the growing pile. But Skulduggery is never going to get used to another living being inside his mind.

"Somehow I think the people here would disapprove of that. They like their turtles." Not to mention that Hawke would have to have words with Skulduggery if he tries that. Seeing how he's cared for Quintus for some time on his own he's rather attached to him.

"Normally I just let him stay in my pool. He seems to like it well enough." And someone should use it at least.

Skulduggery laughs. It makes sense, of course, logically speaking, for a large turtle to be kept in the nearest convenient large body of water. But there's something fundamentally nonsensical about a swimming pool being more suitable than a stable.

"If he eats as much as he does, how quickly does he grow?" Skulduggery asks. He can think of a myriad of more pertinent questions, but if the turtle - if Quintus - is going to insist on marking Skulduggery as a new guardian, then he might as well start acting like one.

There's something weird about seeing a skeleton laugh like that. It's very human but unhuman at the same time. Talking to Skulduggery will take some getting used to. Compared to him, Hawke and his companions are almost normal.

Hawke just shrugs his shoulders. "You'll have to ask someone who knows anything about turtles. If I had to make a guess I'd say somewhere between a lot and a whole lot."
