Situation: A very late "Memorial Day" barbecue, bring your own beef!
Warnings/Rating: N/A. C'mon, it's a barbecue.

[There's two grills, one for meat, one for veggies. (We don't want our vegetarians getting cross-contamination, now do we?) They're pretty basic, just some wood-burning open barrels with grills over top. Feel free to come on by, bring some food to share around, and hang out with your friends. Or glare across the way at your enemies! We're all good here.]

Hey, you said the griller eats last.

[He gestures wildly at everybody else around.]

And nobody else here but you and me are grilling! Jeez, Derek.

I don't see anyone lined up. [ He raises an eyebrow, looking around. ] Do you?

[Rolling his eyes, he takes the plate from Derek and puts it aside.]

They will be soon! Are you really that hungry?

Yes. I'm a growing boy. [ Hey, at least he's not grabbing for it anyway? ]

Admire my restraint in not turning that into something dirty.

[He hands the plate back to Derek, though, along with a little kiss to his cheek.]

Lemme know if it tastes good?

I'm sure it's fine, Stiles. You're not a terrible cook, remember?

I remember. I just wasn't sure if you did.

Hey. [ He's actually a little offended at that!! ]

[If Stiles isn't offending somebody, he's obviously unconscious.]

You're the one that came over here to make sure I didn't accidentally burn the turtle down. Just saying.

Alright, fine. [ And he takes a bite. It's actually really good, and he raises an eyebrow at Stiles. ] It's edible.
