Situation: A very late "Memorial Day" barbecue, bring your own beef!
Warnings/Rating: N/A. C'mon, it's a barbecue.

[There's two grills, one for meat, one for veggies. (We don't want our vegetarians getting cross-contamination, now do we?) They're pretty basic, just some wood-burning open barrels with grills over top. Feel free to come on by, bring some food to share around, and hang out with your friends. Or glare across the way at your enemies! We're all good here.]

[ Jack grinned, rolling his shoulders in a shrug. ]

I'm sure. [He goes about turning some of the meat.] So, are you a meta or what?

[ If Jack hadn't been here for so long, he would have been unfamiliar with the term. But now he knows, so he's able to shake his head. ]

[The dogs will need to fend for themselves for a little bit because he looks back up at that.]

O...kay. Do you mean spirit as in ghost or cheerleader?

[What is tact. Wally is only asking because he's had enough dealing with dead things this month, okay. The guy doesn't look dead or anything though, so that's... good.]

"Closer to the former, though I'm not actually a ghost. Definitely not much of a cheerleader! Think of..." He grasped at something a little more well known, to give Wally context. "Okay, you've heard of Mother Nature?"
