Hayley glanced away, lips contorting with thought as they walked. It was her tacit acceptance of his answer. There were too many holes in his tale and questions that could help to fill that void that she had difficulty in trying to narrow them down to those which she might be able to get away with without ruining their friendship. Some part of her wasn't certain if it was sincere curiosity that drove her to asking things like she was considering or if part of her simply could never give up on pushing boundaries and testing her so-called friendships.
