Housewarming, housebreaking
Characters: Residents of MU-HAO
Date: June 26th, when they get home for the day
Location: MU-HAO
Situation: New flatmate is a disney princess
Warnings/Rating: None
When Zatanna Zatara, Jack Frost, or Armin Arlert get home on the 26th - at whatever point they individually get home - they will find much the same situation each time. All the lower floor windows are open and a rather large gathering of the local wildlife (birds mostly) have congregated within the lower level living space. What furniture is around may have a surprise sitting on it in the form of birds, rodents, or their droppings from when they were there earlier. And crumbs.
Lots of crumbs.
Crumbs being fought over at times.
If the kitchen is inspected, it seems that all the bread in the house is gone. All of it. Anything with bread on it, has been stripped of it's breading and the remains carefully packed back up. The rest of the food has not been raided as of yet.
This small avian army with the random ground support seems to be concentrated outside the formerly empty upper bedroom, which also is now softly lit from within. Should this oddity be followed up on, they will find their new flatmate sitting on the floor next to his new bed, quietly passing out breaded crumbs to the animals gathered there. Somehow enforcing rules of fairness and sharing with his soft smile and murmured words that everyone should share because there was plenty for everyone.

"Spirits?"

Then his face shifted, incredibly unsure, "You do know spirits, right?"
no subject
Coincidently enough.

"He'd better not let me catch him calling me that, or he'll be in big trouble."
...she was still working on the maturity part.

"I've lived with spirits before," Wan said. "You have to tell me what he's like. Please! I don't want to insult him when he gets back by being accidentally!"
Though, depending on what the spirit was like, he might be rude on purpose.
no subject
She learned that one the hard way.

"Why would I call him Old Man Winter?" Wan asked after a moment of nodding along and then getting confused again. "And why would I deny his existence or abilities?"
no subject
"Because Jack's the Spirit of Winter. His full name is Jack Frost--maybe you've heard of him?"
no subject
A moment of quiet settled over him as he thought about it, then another shrug and he smiled, "But even if my world doesn't, it's amazing to get to meet another All-Powerful Spirit."
no subject
Though that might be a touch of bias showing.
After doing one last quick sweep of the bottom floor, Zatanna moved towards the stairs.
"What about you? How come you know so much about spirits?"
no subject
"I lived in the Spirit Wilds for three years learning the ways of the spirits and animals," he explained happily. "I think I might be the only human that's ever done that. I don't know for sure, but I do know that I'm the only human who's done it in my lifetime. And it's not that no other humans could. I know the Air Nomads of the Air Lion Turtle live in peace with the spirits in their village, but they still live on the back of the Air Lion Turtle. It's pretty different to have the safety of and protection of a Lion Turtle then to live among the spirits without it."
no subject
"Are you, by any chance, an air bender or something?"

"You talk a lot like Korra. That's why I was asking."

"Something wrong?"

(It really said a lot about their friendship, and how well she had come to know the young Avatar over the last year-plus that that would be her first assumption as to why Korra would make him nervous.)

Not speaking from personal experience, nope.
no subject
Yeah, because that wasn't suspicious at all.
"Does she get mad about things a lot really easily?" That would be strange to think about. Though it did bring to mind how different they could be, despite the shared soul. "Can you tell me about her? Will you?"
