Characters: Zuko and You!
Date: Throughout foreseeable October
Location: Mostly Fire and Wood Sector, but possibly other places.
Situation: Zuko is trying to maintain his sanity after a month of being severely poisoned.
Warnings/Rating: Possible violence and dark themes.
It's been a very long month for Zuko. Every night was spent with little or no sleep, since when he tried, the nightmares always came back. Which left him screaming and in pain. The throbbing in this shoulder never went away. Plus there was the stress of his constantly foul mood, and trying to fight his violent urges. They were all taking their toll on him. Fits of rage were not uncommon. He would snap and snarl at every little thing.
Fortunately, he had Wan looking out for him now. The two of them migrating between their suites so that Zuko was never alone. However, things were just getting worse as time progressed. Some night he wouldn't bother trying to sleep at all. Dark circles were found under his eyes, and his face was gaunt, and his body had thinned. He wasn't eating as much either. The stress was just too much. For those that know him well, he was definitely not the person he should be. He looked terrible. Zuko was suffering, not just physically, but mentally as well. The boy clinging to what few threads of sanity he had left, but he wasn't sure how much longer he could do this. He knew, at some point, he would lose it again. And it might be worse the next time.
While he spends most of his time in either his own or Wan's suite, he can be seen walking around with the Avatar sometimes as well. He does need to get out occasionally after all. Plus he still tries to spend time with Yin, though the encounters are distressing for both him and her. The young turtle feeling helpless and saddened, and sometimes frightened, by what's happening to her parent. Is there nothing that can be done to help him?
