[Closed] Live free or die; and all I can ask is why
Characters: North and York
Date: Now
Location: York's residence
Situation: North has just arrived and is feeling lost and lonely since he's arrived without his AI, and doesn't quite remember what happened in his final moments before he was transported to Tu Vishan.
Warnings/Rating: None
[He wasn't familiar with the city, but luckily once he'd found his way out of his sector, he found that York's apartment wasn't far. This was definitely a different sort of area than the area where he'd been placed. He had kept an eye out for shops, since it seemed weird to arrive as a guest empty-handed, but then realized he'd left his juulan at home. He really was still suffering from the effects of waking up in the sea.
He had to content himself, in the end, with the fact that he'd arrived in a fairly timely manner, and he knocked on the door of what he hoped was the correct place.]

this is so hard drunk
But he's more concerned about her than memories of the past, since he knows that Carolina's -- well, she's not okay, but she's alive.
"You're not screwing this up. Just talk to me, okay?"
He pushes himself up and rolls over her, pressing lazy kisses to her jaw and over her lips. "Trust me, okay? You're not ruinin' anything."
oh god |DD also ya'll can keep skipping kara she's just making cameos
Billions. Billions upon frakking billions of dead people -- all because of a mistake the humans had made before Kara had even been a twinkle in her fathers eye.
"Maybe not yet." She can concede that - so far, she'd done exceptionally well. Far better than she'd fared on the Galactica, that much was for sure. Still though...it was probably only a matter of time.
"But I probably will."
That's a hard point to argue, though -- especially when the person that is asking her to be in a relationship with him (novel, how very novel - almost like she's normal) is perched over her and dotting her face with little kisses.
hhaahaha ok
There's no way that she can ruin this- they're adults, damnit, and there's no way to ruin this just from talking.
"Look at me, okay? I promise."

"I dunno, I'm sure I could find a way." She pauses that, and rests her chin on his chest. "Not that I want to."

York nudges her away, and pushes himself up over her so he can actually look her in the eye, his hand sliding down her side, intimate without trying to start anything.
"I like you. I like you when you're smokin' and drinkin' in the house and when you're arguing with me and when you're callin' me out on me being an idiot, and I like you when you're "frakkin'" stuff up, so I'm pretty sure if anything does happen, I'll deal. If I can deal with a magical turtle in the afterlife and all this, I'm pretty sure I can take whatever you got to throw at me, and I'll take it as long as you're comfy with me doing it, okay?"
no subject
Somehow, miraculously, she keeps a lid on it, until she's prompted to respond.
Even then she's not immediate in talking back - it's something she needs to consider, think on, dwell on and ponder over and totally not make an irrational decision--
"Okay."
Yeah. Totally thought long and hard on that one.
"I'll stay."
no subject
"Come on, Thrace. Don't do that to me, what's wrong?"
no subject
No Lee. No cylons. No war. No Galactica. The guilt over Zak is still there, her assumed responsibility for his death never forgotten but there's also no Commander to see every day and remind her of her screw ups and how she shouldn't let her feelings get in the way of anything.
no subject
Nothing is wrong here, except that they're dead, they're here.
"You sure that's it?"
no subject
"Yeah. That's it. On my honor." Or whatever it is they say.
no subject
He doesn't look totally convinced but it's late and she's warm and far be it from him to argue.
York eases up over her, and then slides down, pressing a little nip to the swells of her breasts, and it seems like he's going somewhere great until he makes it to her belly, pushes her shirt up and blows a huge raspberry against her skin.
Moment ruined.

And lo, the beginning of an utterly epic pillow fight are at hand.
