ENDPLOT | ROLL THE BONES, PART 1

Situation: It's either Malicant or the Foreigners... and their worlds.

The Foreigners had begun their counterattack by trying to possess the Great Turtle whom Malicant had taken, and although the movement had failed, some vital information had been uncovered. Under the shell lay Malicant's weakness, and inside the Dreaming was where he could be fought.

Any help from the kedan is uncommon. They're wary, watching, as a group beginning to lose sight of the community. Their family groups are more tightly-knit than ever, and any approach from the Foreigners is answered by suspicion at best and violence at worst. That makes daily life difficult, when the majority of the city refuses to have much to do with them. Why aren't you doing anything? they seem to say. What good are any of you? All you've done is make things worse. We'd be better if you'd never come.

The Foreigners are unwelcome in Keeliai. The cultists are becoming a majority. Now is the time.

There aren't many left of the Foreigners left, but inside the Dreaming the limitations of the waking world no longer exist. For every Foreigner and their worlds, their loved ones, this is the chance to make themselves safe for good. And all of them will be needed.

There are two main headers, one for preparation at the Hotel where Milyn and Eva will be available to speak with The second section where they will be able to search the caves beneath the Shell inside the Dreaming to find the Vilii Stone, and where the boon'd characters will be affected. If you are threading something that doesn't fit one of those categories, just add it to the bottom of the post. Questions go to the plotting post, please! "Ah yes, that does make sense. " Enjolras had met Donatello previously and he certainly did seem to have things well in hand. The turtle had a sort of competence that reminded him of Leo, or Combeferre. "He does seem to have quite the handle as far as those things go." Far better than many of them here, Enjolras knew quite well.

Stepping over a little, he peered at the marker intently, tracing the path with a finger. "It is said that one should keep enemies close. I suppose that does mean...keeping tabs?... on them.

A retreat on their part would make all of this much easier. And yes, there are." He agreed. "Would it make much sense to divide our groups? There is a power in numbers, especially facing our enemy, but would we have a better chance of locating our stone or not?"

"Donatello-san is going to do a great job, I'm sure," Ryou smiled with confidence before turning his attention back to the map, his expression thoughtful again.

"But it's hard to say... There's benefits to splitting into groups, and there's benefits to staying together. The faster we find the stone the better, right? But we can't spread ourselves so thin that we put ourselves in serious danger, either. A balance between the two is probably best. I think we have enough people to pull that off."

"Now that I know it is him involved, then he is sure to." Enjolras agreed, relaxing as it came to that idea. Donatello knew what he was doing, certainly, if anyone here knew what they were doing.

"Yees..." Enjolras bent his own head a little closer, blinking to clear away a bit of blurriness in his eyes, there. "I should think so, there. Two groups, or possibly three, as a good compromise? It ought to allow us all protection enough, along with potential pathways."

"Three is a good number. The groups might be too big to navigate the tunnels well if we do any less than that." Ryou paused, and then corrected himself. "Rather...I think it will make fighting hard."

Because ultimately, that was something they had to plan for too. It wasn't all about traps and avoiding.

"Mm." Enjolras nodded at that, seeing the strategy as it could be there. "Yes, I see your point. Too many of us tied up into the others, well, it would be a problem."

And another point struck him too, as he considered the idea of groups.

"It should allow us to split into groups that are pretty evenly matched as well." He mused. "Magic users and warriors and the like." And he's not quite certain where he would place himself, only that he wants to try. "We will need to be able to support each other's strengths and balance our weaknesses, correct?"

"Right," Ryou brought his hand thoughtfully to his mouth, nodding. This part reminded him alot of building a team in one of his RPGs.

"I don't really know what everybody here can do, but we should definitely split up the magic users evenly between teams if we can, and then fill in the rest with physical fighters. Ideally, we would have one Healer per-team too, but that's probably not going to happen..."

"Not so many healers then?" Enjolras knew his skills were limited, but they were there, and had helped a bit during the possession attempt. "I can do a bit of it, if I am needed. I am not quite skilled enough to put someone back together, but I can heal minor things, and, perhaps, stave off bleeding until someone can find a capable healer, if that is any help."

It was not much, but it MIGHT be something.

"I really don't know...it seems kind of rare?" Ryou's lips pulled into a lopsided line. The people going would probably be the best ones to discuss powers amongst each other.

"But if you can do that, I'm sure it would be really helpful. Even if you can only stop the bleeding, that might be the difference between life or death..."

The thought was a little worrying, but then, Enjolras had gotten through the possession attempt with the healing abilities he'd gained, and with Raine's presence, and things had been relatively all right. For now, he is nodding.

"I will speak to someone as we form the groups then. And yes, I can certainly manage as much as that. Enough for someone to be moved, I should guess."

"Great," Ryou smiled again, and it was clear he had complete trust in the other man's judgement and whatever healing powers he had. "Then I'll leave that up to you!"

It was not much, but it WAS at least enough to keep someone from bleeding out for long enough for them to get to an actual healer. After that, the skills were mostly those he'd picked up at the hospital, the emergency sort of skills more than anything else.

Worrying, but in the right combination.

He nodded at that, expression grave.

"Hopefully, it shall not be needed, but just in case, I suppose."

"Ah, yes...of course," Ryou gulped. He really didn't want to see it needed either. "As long as we prepare for the worst, we can do our best! I think..."

"True enough." Enjolras nodded at that. "And with our best, well, we shall be all right." They'd have to be.

Ryou hoped so, because it was all they had. "Yeah...," he managed a smile, because it was all he had left.

Enjolras reached over then, rather impulsive, especially for him, but then, one got to know those they were fighting in such an important battle with rather quickly, and it felt, like with Sokka, as if he were connecting with someone on the level of...well, not quite Joly or Bossuet, but perhaps on the level of Marius. At any rate, squeezing Ryou's hand briefly did not feel all that strange to him now, returning the smile.

"Courage. We are moving in the exact direction that we ought, and right has its own armor."
