February Catch All
Characters: Nelo Angelo/Vergil, and open!
Date: Throughout Febuary.
Location: Around the Shell, and Evidet.
Situation: Random things that Nelo Angelo does to pass time.
Warnings/Rating: No warnings.
Scrap yard
After aquiring a coat from the money from the scrap he had collected with Valdis when she found Revelations, he headed back out that way. Simply to look around more then anything else. The cold nipped at his face but it wasn't as bad as he expected it to be. He looked around, keeping Valdis' warning to not take too much in mind still. A little more money would be nice, since he was still a little worried about taking work from the Kedan after he got ripped off last time. It had been embarrassing to say the least, a knight of Mundus' army ripped off by a shop keeper.
Every now and then he would look up at the sky watching the snow fall, as if spacing out watching it. Snow was like rain to him, something he had heard of but not seen before coming to this world. It fascinated him. He would randomly hold a hand out to catch some of the falling flakes.
Marketplace
Having sold off more of the collected scrap, Nelo was walking around his hands in his pockets looking over items for sale. He avoided a certain shop of course, he didn't want to deal with anything that shop keep might have had to say. He was looking for more books in a language he could read, which was not exactly an easy thing.
He kept looking up to the rooftops wondering if any of the people he had met when he was people watching were around anywhere, and the kind dark haired girl who had been concerned over his headache. The people here were so kind at times he didn't know how to take it. It was strange but nice. He still expected the other shoe to drop soon, but he was hoping it didn't.
Midnight Hotel Lobby & Room
Making his way in after a long day of wandering the shell and Khatronma he shook some snow off his coat and out of his hair, kicking snow off his boots, he made his way inside. A couple things in a bag in his hand. He looked around when he entered, looking for Anton or Dante. If he saw either he would walk to them to at least say hello.
Otherwise, he made his way up the stairs to his room. This is where he spent most of his time. Either rereading the cook book he had bought or carefully practicing with the zweihänder blade, always super careful not to hit anything or make too much noise. He didn't want to let his skills weaken by idleness, but he had promised no violence in the hotel. So he had to be careful in these times.
Sometimes he just tried to sleep, and that was when Mundus seemed to invade his dreams, it was not really Mundus of course. He would wake in a panic and remember exactly why he should not be lowering his guard so much. It was a hard thing to keep on guard all the time wen people made it so easy to let them close. Mundus was a good reminder of why he couldn't allow himself to be soft like that. It was never a good idea.
Midnight Hotel Kitchen
Every few nights he could be found in the kitchen experimenting between the cook book's orders, and whatever Dante had brought home that day. He found a nice zen when cooking. It was a useful skill he had never had a need for before he awoke on the shell. Since arriving his color was improving a little. He hadn't gained much weight but he didn't look as bad as he did when he arrived and first started moving around without his armor.
On nights that he was by himself or had bought something himself to cook he was willing to share. To have someone test what he made.

"You seem better," she commented, noting the warmer atmosphere and his calm demeanor, "Have you settled in alright?"
The question was more a courtesy than anything else, for it seemed quite obvious that he was fine, at least in a physical sense.
no subject
"I am fine," He at least could push truama and pain deep down and push on with his calm air. "And yourself? Can I offer you some tea now that I have some."
no subject
She reached into the bag, turning away to keep her concern over what she had said hidden.
"I went through Dante's things," she said, grasping the amulet and pulling it out of the bag, "But I felt that, since you were his brother, you should have first claim."
no subject
His eyes went from near horror to a softness even Nelo had not had as he held a hand out for it. "Thank you." True gratitude in his tone. "I had no idea he had this." His own was gold, Dantes, this one silver. He knew his was lost, like Yamato was lost. A hopeful kind of pain bloomed with in. "Anton was kind enough to bring Rebellion." Rebellion was leaned up against the bed. He had nothing to mount the weapons to the wall with yet.
no subject
Her voice was soft, briefly lost in the memory. Then something sharp passed behind her eyes and for an instant she felt off, she braced herself against the chair, lifting the bag as she did so to hide the movement.
ignore the gold.
"Do not argue it, grant me this. Just stop being stubborn and sit." He could tell something was off but not by how much.
no subject
"I also brought Ebony and Ivory," she said, "Did you want them?"
no subject
"I abhor firearms. Besides, you should have something of his. If you want them they are yours. You are likely the only other person powerful enough to make them work anyway." He gave her the respect of not point out he can tell something is wrong.
no subject
"I know that the necklace was very important to him, it must have been hard to lose your mother like that. Especially after being abandoned by you father."
no subject
Of being a god not goddess.Watch as Vergil's posture very slowly straightens. "Tell me exactly what Dante has told you about our parents." There's a note in his tone, not anger, more disappointment. Why couldn't his brother accept the truth? It bothered Vergil, always had. "I believe you may have your facts wrong." Nope nope not talking about mama.
no subject
She shook her head, "When we first met, he might have panicked slightly when he knew that I had interacted with demons."
As far as she was concerned, demons were the scum of the earth, below her kind and any other, even humans ranked higher. She should have destroyed Amos when she had the chance, should have ripped his dark soul to shreds. She shook her head, slightly startled by the violent thoughts passing through her mind.
no subject
"What he told you is true, but our father, Sparda. He is the one who saved humanity in our world, he sealed the demon world, saving it from the demons who wanted to enslave mankind, and their Ruler, Mundus. I am sure as Nelo Angelo I had spoke the name too you." He didn't wait for an answer. "Sparda vanished when we were young, he didn't run, I fully believe he died trying to keep our family safe. Dante always resented him for leaving mother unguarded. When we turned eight the demons came. Dante and I were separated both thinking the other dead. Hours before our mother had given us each a half of this." he held up the necklace. "The perfect Amulet, it is a key when both halves are joined at a certain place." With Dante and his Blood, and a woman's blood.... a lot of stuff. "Even with the power it can hold, I am sure it means more to him just having been from her."
Dante was always closer to their mother. "he never cared much for demons, that would be me."
no subject
It was interesting to hear the other side of the story, especially since the one talking wasn't drunk, as Dante had been.
"I do recall Nelo speaking of Mundus. The very name seemed to put him on edge." She leaned back and crossed her legs, resting one elbow on the arm of the chair, "And he called Sparda a traitor...I realize that you and he think differently, but now that you have merged, is there any part of you that doubts your father?"
Doubt and fear could be played on, they were the weapons that preyed on the weak willed.
no subject
He sat the necklace aside on the table. "Unlike Nelo Angelo, I remember everything, even his years as the one living in my form. And I have no doubts about Sparda. Nelo ANgelo was created by Mundus as a means to keep me repressed so he could have a means to scare his legion back into submission. Imagine having the son of your enemy at your command, what that would do for morale?" He wasn't pleased but he saw the logic.
no subject
Regret flooded through her, her own for thinking to play on weaknesses and a bit of overflow from Vergil.
"There was nothing he could have done at that age to save her, Nothing either of you could have done, except die."
She paused, thinking, the softness leaving her voice once again, "I can see why he would do such a thing, but it was foolishness. He should have simply killed you both and been done with it. Better to know that your enemy cannot harm you than to live with the possibility of rebellion. But I suppose that would have been too intelligent for a lowly demon."
no subject
She got a smirk out of Vergil for that one. "You would be correct, he was not smart enough for that. I like to think had I broken free of my own power there I could have staged a bit of a rebellion. Take him down, like he was so willing to do to those of us under his command." Us Nelo ANgelo's memories.
"But enough of this. tell me, do you know how his guns work? How to make the bullets?"
no subject
He managed to draw her back out of her own mind with his question and she answered as if she had been paying attention the whole time.
"I honestly never saw Dante use them, so I have no idea."
no subject
He pushed up, the necklace left with his tea on the table by the chair. "Hand me Ebony, you take up Ivory. We should go out to the wild. Do you know a place?" He asked her as he pulled his coat on. "It is simple once you get the basic jist down."
no subject
"Follow me," She said, "And we shall find a place out of sight."
no subject
"That sounds perfectly fine." He didn't have much anger in him at the moment, he didn't plan on spilling her blood or anything. It was kind of oddly calming to be about to make sure a powerful set of weapons went to a worthy owner.
no subject
"This is as good a place as any," she said.
no subject
"This will work just fine." He spoke, he seemed to calm more the further out they got. Once she had spoke, and he replied he pulled Ebony free.
"Alright, so this can use bullets, or your own energy."
no subject
She drew Ivory, taking a moment to read the inscription on the pistol, but she didn't comment on the name inscribed there, preferring to focus on the matter at hand.
"Is there a particular kind of energy required?"
no subject
Vergil lifted Ebony, another fun different, Vergil was left handed. "Concentrate a moment and focus your energy on the gun." He explained before he fired off a few rounds into a tree, The didnt make the damage that a real bullet would but it would certainly hurt. "Give it a shot, it takes practice." He stepped aside.
no subject
"I fear I am a bit rusty," she said, flipping the gun into the air and catching it. Then her vision clouded, sharp pain raced through her head and Ivory fell from her hand.
