Well, now he was a little too focused on playing with his new 'toys', but it was on his mind. If he was going to be here for the foreseeable future, it only made sense to reach out to potential peers and the like, but it was as though he'd been starved and now been introduced to...well, not so much a feast, but certainly something to sate his hunger. With the labor and knowledge he'd offered as his 'currency', he'd gathered enough supplies to last him a while, but as expected, there were always a few missing that became obvious only as he worked.
So, longcoat upon him to keep the chill away, he glanced over his notes on supplies and back up at the stall he was currently before. A few traded words, a shake of the head, and he was moving on to try the next one.
