[NPC] Bresilykian Emissaries
Characters: Bresilykian Emissaries + Foreigners
Date: Month of February, after Tu Vishan leaves Evidet's shores.
Location: Anywhere in Keeliai, or outside the city
Situation: Catch-all post for talking with the emissaries. Please specify location and the NPC when tagging in.
Warnings/Rating: None yet.
NOTE: Descriptions and habits of the five emissaries can be found in the Feb Itinerary post.
Having received the requisite permissions from the various factions in Keeliai, and after communicating with the capital citydome of Lichoyras, the five ambassadors seem perfectly willing to dedicate themselves to being on Tu Vishan for the foreseeable future. When it's explained in no uncertain terms to them that the Great Turtle is not presently in control of his own movements -- that only chance brought it to Evidet and who only knew when they might be back? -- the emissaries will assure that they've been made aware, and that they're here of their own accord.
In the meantime, they'll have split into their own routines of exploring the city, gathering information, and investigating the Foreigners who capture their attention.

Can I snag a Eiryam? Metal Sector market; Cal can spot him if he's not spotted.
Well, now he was a little too focused on playing with his new 'toys', but it was on his mind. If he was going to be here for the foreseeable future, it only made sense to reach out to potential peers and the like, but it was as though he'd been starved and now been introduced to...well, not so much a feast, but certainly something to sate his hunger. With the labor and knowledge he'd offered as his 'currency', he'd gathered enough supplies to last him a while, but as expected, there were always a few missing that became obvious only as he worked.
So, longcoat upon him to keep the chill away, he glanced over his notes on supplies and back up at the stall he was currently before. A few traded words, a shake of the head, and he was moving on to try the next one.

Eiryam was far more interested in the small shops which focused selling small bits of tech. His fingers itched to test out some of the devices for sale, even the ones -- especially the ones -- that he couldn't immediately discern their purpose. As much of a challenge as it was for him, he kept his opinions and suggestions largely to himself, instead being effusive with his praise on the shopkeepers who were, in most cases, the inventors. The kedan were a clever race, he was learning, so it was so strange that they really hadn't started producing anything of note until so recently. It was almost as if someone had thrown a switch and poured creativity right into them.

After stepping closer, it narrowed down even further.
"Emissary?" he ventured, when it seemed like they were moving on.

"Eiryam," he answered. "Please, just call me Eiryam."

"Yes, it's been quite an adventure so far, coming here. Really fascinating, actually. Have you been in Keeliai very long?"
no subject
He really should stop doing that. Expecting anything, that is. "A few months- there's a few others who have been here for years. But long enough to miss home, at least- there's a saying about not really knowing what you have until it's gone, if you've heard of it."

"Besides," he goes on to say, "she'll have a few new stories to tell them, by the time she gets home."

He gestures at some of the tech on the tables. "I'm still getting used to things being primitive here...but I'm hopeful that they'll improve, given time and knowledge. And materials," he allows. "Things can be a bit tight here, as I'm sure you've noticed."

The young Bresilykian man glanced back toward the table. "I don't think it's necessarily primitive," he replied. "I think it's really quite impressive, given that the kedan have not been... well, themselves, if stories are to be believed. Not to mention, magic here was more prevalent for some time, was it not?"
He nodded understandingly in regards to materials. "I imagine that will be a topic of high interest when we make our reports back to Lichoyras, the import of materials."
