Extreme Makeover: Keeliai Edition - March Log

Date: Throughout March, until the 21st
Location: The Palace of Landed Sky and surrounding environs
Situation: Let's tear this bitch down.
Warnings/Rating: Drug addiction/withdrawal references in the Dust threads, most likely

The demolition is now in full swing and will last until late March, largely run by Zanru and the Metalworkers (as part of the deal), though individual Foreigners can be hired to help (and the help would likely be appreciated, as the Foreigners are going to get some of this too). Hired Foreigners will report to Xuiyu, as Zanru herself is too busy to be on-site. Gene can be found helping with the destruction, in his armor more often than not, over the course of the demolition project, and answering questions and taking suggestions from Foreigners and kedan about what to do with the newly freed land.

However, from the 4th to the 11th, there is Dust contamination, which is sickening some of the workers - Foreigner and kedan alike. It's not too much of a hindrance, and the demolition seems to be on track to finish on-schedule, by March 21st.

"Such as?"

Oh, this is fun, dancing around each other verbally like this. Gene hadn't had such a conversation in quite some time - mostly because he'd been trying to quash his supervillain habits, including playing with people. But he had to admit...this was very fun, and often how people reacted told him more than their words ever could. Verbal chess.

"Ones that are so obvious even you should be able to figure them out."

So now it came down to whether to keep this dancing around going, or find some way to shut it down. Sometimes Accelerator couldn't hold back from a verbal spar filled with veiled and not so veiled insults, all steeped in condescension. Sometimes he found it to be a waste of his time and effort. His opinion on the verdict this time around was still being formed. What, if anything, could he get out of this, and was it worth continuing to bother? Break time only lasted so long.

Gene laughed again, and it was a genuine laugh, breaking any veneer of tension that had arisen. "You're right, I'm sure. Asking is just laziness on my part." He was in a rare good mood lately, and the more time he spent at the construction site, a better mood he was in. He'd opted to attribute that to the process of getting work done, since he didn't know what else it could possibly be.

"You shouldn't let me keep you from your work. How rude of me."

"Oh, you were keeping me from my work? Wow. I hadn't even noticed." The sarcasm continued to be strong here. "I do like having a good solid break to enjoy, though."

Gene laughed again. He likes you, Accel, you mad bastard. "Not too solid, I hope." He moved as if to walk away. "Good luck with the rest of it."

Ah, so the guy looked like he finally planned to go putter off, judging from his words and the way he stepped away. Accelerator was certain to move a hand in a 'run along now' type of shooing gesture. "Solid enough."
