Sky Sector Catch-All: May

Situation: Moving in, getting settled...housewarming parties?
Warnings/Rating: None anticipated. Please don't blow the new houses up. We just built them!

The Palace of Landed Sky has been largely demolished, and a good section of the land has been repurposed as Foreigner housing, should they choose to move into the new dwellings. But there's not just housing - there are shops and artisans and a space that may become part of the university. The new sector of the city is abuzz with possibilities.

The other case he had had sat down as he motioned to Jackies side. "Just put it there, that is fine. Thank you. As for our age, it is time displacement, he was from a later date than I have come from if that makes sense to you." He knew there was at least a decade, but just that. "I am sure he would be thrilled to know you find him cool. If no one has told you." He started to undo the straps to remove the swords. "He is gone."

"Yeah...I know," he said, shaking his head. Dante had been a pretty cool dude, like Jackie had said. "And that time displacement thing makes no sense to me, but I guess it doesn't have to, right? It is what it is." He shrugged, and put the trunk down.

"Exactly." Vergil spoke as he sat the swords down, Rebellion's skull hilt showing a bit when it was sat down.

"Thank you again, Jackie. your help is much appreciated, if I can return this favor in some way, do let me know." even if Jackie had said it was good Vergil hated feeling indebted.

"Whoa," Jackie said when he saw the skulled hilt of the sword. "Is that a sword?"

There was some undisguised awe in his voice, before he realized that Vergil had said something else.

"Uh, yeah, no problem, man. I'll let you know."

"No, its a hairbrush." He spoke dryly, but with an oddly playful hint. Mostly because of course it was so obviously a sword, but he figured what was the harm, he pulled the rest of the sheet off of Rebellion. "It is a family heirloom."

"No kidding," Jackie said, sounding quite obviously impressed. "That's one hell of an heirloom, man." Coming from the guy with literally nothing handed down from his family but a taste for bad alcohol and worse karaoke, maybe not much of a compliment. But any heirloom at all is fascinating to Jackie, especially one so expensive-looking and clearly well-kept.

"Only the best from my father." He lifted it up as if it was paper light, but its clearly not. "It is named Rebellion. This sword has seen many battles, and had two owners before me now. It was left to Dante. My own inheritance is lost, but, I do not mind this. It is a good reminder." he spoke but did not explain further. A shock of shocks he held it over by the handle so Jackle could grasp the handle if he wanted. being a demon blade it was a risk, but Vergil didn't worry. If the guy tried to run with it he would be dead before he hit the door. If he didn't, he would prove a point. The sword had no pull on its own. Not to a normal human. But it did buzz with a power.

"Rebellion," Jackie repeated, looking at the sword. He was a little surprised when Vergil offered him the hilt, and, feeling a little foolish, like this was a trap, he grasped it.

Wow. Heavy sword. "This thing ain't light," he said with a laugh, trying to heft it. He wasn't any huge weakling, but he was unused to wielding a weapon like that - or really, anything bigger than a knife.

"Yes." he didn't offer an explaination of the name. The joke of his father was the great rebel of the demon world. Or even that he is a demon himself. This was a first meeting after all. Showing another guy your sword was taboo enough.

"A claymore is never light. You grow used to the weight in time." He spoke, waiting for Jackie to hand it back. He was out of touch again, and as much as he would deny it. It as nice to talk to someone.

Jackie wasn't going to try and keep wielding it, as cool as it was; the claymore was heavy, way heavier than swords looked in movies.

"Thanks, man, that's really cool," he said, passing the sword back to Vergil. "I'm not gonna try and get used to the weight today, though."

Taking the sword back, Vergil placed it back down with ease. Turning back, to lead Jackie out.

"If you are ever curious to learn to use a sword and come across one, I could teach you proper technique."

He offered opening the door again.

"Heh. Maybe I'll take you up on that," Jackie said, following Vergil to the door.

"See you later, I guess."

"I would not object to that. Before you go." He spoke once the door was open, one hand holding it open. "Where are you from originally?" Vergil was curious not only of his voice, but if the worlds for everyone originally had places that were the same.

"Huh? Old Prosperity," Jackie said, before catching himself when he realized most people wouldn't know what that meant. "Hong Kong. Comin' to Keeliai was the first time I'd ever left."

"Interesting, I have never heard it called that before. Hong Kong yes, but not Old Prosperity."

He leaned in the doorway now. "I'm a bit curious as to the realities of the worlds we all hail from if your curious of me asking."

"It was the project I grew up in, in North Point. Back where I'm from, just 'Old Prosperity' was all I needed to say, heh," Jackie said. "You ever been? To Hong Kong, I mean."

"In passing yes, I traveled often to trace the trail of my father. It's a long story. But yes, I have passed through. It seems over crowded but all in all a city one could find adventure in." He spoke looking at Jackie, as if resizing him up after the word 'project'.

Hey, man, don't go ragging on him just 'cause he's from the projects.

"I never wanted to leave. Didn't think I needed to see anything else, you know? Though I guess it would have been nice to visit Wei in America," he admitted.

Nope, for once he's not. Its less judging and more impressed. Projects kids tend to be a tougher breed.

"It is always good to travel." He spoke before adding. "The sense of home is always important but traveling expands ones view. Shows you things a closed mind could not have. Thats just an idle observation."

Jackie snorted a little, smirking. "Yeah, well. I'm a pretty long way from Old Prosperity now, huh?" Keeliai was similar, and yet so different than the world that he'd known. He wasn't quite sure which he liked better, in point of fact. He missed home still, a lot, but home hadn't quite been home since Winston's disastrous wedding. Then things had really started to go down the tubes.

If he could have the option to go back now, he was pretty sure he wouldn't.

"A fine point." He spoke shaking his head in amusement. "Some time you should tell me about Hong Kong. I would like to hear about it from someone who knows the city." He stepped out closing the door. Hes still gotta go back to the water district for more.

"Yeah, totally, man, anytime," he said. "I'm in the Midnight Hotel a lot, so if you wanna find me, ask Anton. He knows where I'm at."
