It had been an interesting ride thus far, taking on her new roles in this strange place. The hard work wasn't without it's perks, though.

Despite the occasional witnessing a sick episode and the near constant tingle of worry in the back of her mind, Dove had secretly enjoyed checking in on Yuri each day, if only for the familiarity of the face of a friend and the satisfaction of taking care of someone again. Not that her job at the Healing Guild wasn't enough, but this was different. It had been nice getting to know him, even if their time spent together was sporadic in time and he was completely somewhat distant emotionally. It only made her more curious.

And her curiosity provoked her so easily. After knocking on his door at the hotel, she waited, leaning against the doorframe as she absently played with a lock of hair. She had to at least get him out of the hotel once with her...

"So there's a whole level above being an angel?"

This sure is weird and hard for Yuri to comprehend. He didn't know the first thing about such matters. They didn't have that in his world. Angels were more myth than anything.

"I believe you. Your leg healed pretty fast."

He doesn't doubt it at all. He knows some pretty sturdy girls back home and they aren't angels.

She nodded again. "And I won't know what it's like until I'm there, other than they become pure beings of Light. Grandfather would know, I'm sure..."

This time, her smile was a little more genuine. "And yes, it did, but it hurt about five times more than it would have if I was human." She shook her head and gave a small scoff. "It's handy, but it comes at a price. All the pain comes at once instead of being spread out over a normal healing time."

"Yikes. Handy but a pain."

Quite literally it sounded like. Though the beings of pure light? It sounds kind of boring to him. Why would you want to be pure light? What would you even do?

She snorted softly. "Yes. Exactly." Her amusement then dropped a little but she shrugged half heartedly. "It's never been that bad though. Actually, I can only remember it being really bad once, and that was my own fault for getting into it with a demon," she admitted, the latter half of her claim trailing off into a mumble.

Luckily for her, the waiter would come back with their food at that moment, placing Yuri's curry before him and Dove's portion in front of her-- a small salad topped with a copious amount of fruits.
