EVENT | LANDFALL | ZESHORA
Characters: ALL!
Date: June 17th to July 8th
Location: Zeshora
Situation: Tu Vishan has washed up near the cities of Atoce and Uessaire.
Warnings/Rating: Add warnings as needed.

The cities of Zeshora were renowned across all of Konryu as works of art, and even with the upheaval which sank and destroyed many of them centuries prior, that distinction remains evident. The Erol'a will recount, if asked, a terrible series of earthquakes and resultant tsunamis that rolled over Zeshora, and how great chunks of the continent simply dropped away. Zeshora was one of the oldest continents, and its landmasses upon the backs of long-dead Great Turtles had been so constant, that no one had even thought it possible such a thing could have happened.
Testament to the Erol'a's resilience however, they adapted and reclaimed the cities that had fallen to, or just below, sea level. Arches, pillars and soaring ceilings dominate the architecture in both cities, and every surface is painstakingly decorated with tiny inlaid shells and coral, turning every hall and room into a mosaic of colour. It's not uncommon for Erol'a dwellings to have multiple stories, and likewise it's not unlikely to have at least a few of those levels under sea level. So it's entirely possible to have one's upstairs be above water, and one's downstairs be below the water! Imagine having to take a swim to get a midnight snack. Of course, the Erol'a don't find that strange at all. Likewise, it's perfectly normal to them to walk down the hallways of their homes in ankle, knee or waist-deep water, something that the Foreigners and even some kedan might take some getting used to. The water temperature during the day is a delightful 80℉/26℃, and about ten degrees cooler throughout the night, so it's pleasant for nearly everyone.

Please direct questions to the OOC post! You can either use the areas described under header, or create your own -- don't feel you have to be limited to threading only in the locations mentioned in the starters! Just don't forget to label your top-levels with specific locations (eg the Height or the Deep).
ACTIVITY CHECK NOTE: Due to the late-month timing of this landfall, threads from this log can be counted toward either June or July AC. Just don't use the same comment thread for both and you'll be fine!

What followed was a shout and a long and colorful string of curses that will not be repeated here. Immediately he pulled his arms out of the water, the skin around the blotches turning red as they started to burn and itch even more fiercely. More curses spewing from Yuri's mouth as bent over and hissed in discomfort.
That did not feel good. Not at all.
"Water... Not a good idea!"

She watched him, moving to perch at the rim of the fountain, until his shout nearly made her jump out of her skin. He'd find her in front of him immediately, bending just enough to take his arms, her hands already warm and glowing as her healing power flowed out across the surface of his skin.
"We've got to work on that mouth of yours..." she scolded gently, watching him carefully. If he straightened, she'd rise with him, her hands still on his forearms.

"I didn't think we were ready for that yet, but if you insist."

"So you have been thinking about us," she winked, very clearly teasing. His choice of words was interesting, and... more flattering than she would like to admit, even if it hadn't been at all what he meant. She was warm, though, and inviting, her eyes a deep honey color as she looked back at him, her hands laid over his arms. Tip toeing to reach his ear, she whispered "Do let me know when you think we're ready," then pecked his cheek before starting to release him to take a step back, her tongue poking out at him.
All in good fun.

When Dove then pulled back, she wouldn't get very far. For now Yuri grabbed her arm, his dark eyes looking back into hers with that same smirk on his lips.
"Trust me, you'll know."
And with that he let her go and walked past with a sweep of his long hair, and... Trying not to scratch at his arms again.

She looked back, a quiet fire in her eyes to match the spark in his own as she looked back unwaveringly, despite the deepening pink in her cheeks at the way he grabbed her arm. "I look forward to it, Mr. Lowell," she smiled, half resisting the urge to roll her eyes. This was good, even if he had been taken off guard at first; he was enjoying it...and so was she.
When he released her and started to walk away, she grinned to herself, almost adding a soft 'don't leave me waiting' to further their flirtatious exchange...but she didn't want to push it too far. It was all in good fun, anyway.
Thus, she simply followed him, catching up quickly. "So, are you going back to terrorize the children overlords again?"
no subject
Either way, he just kept walking. Though he waved a hand at her words as he went.
"No, I'm so done with this place."
He had little desire to stick around, and was instead, heading back for the turtle.
