Event | Masquerade Ball

Date: The Evening of October 30th
Location: The Courtyard of Public Opinion
Situation: Valdis and 'Rue' have put together an All Hallows Eve Masquerade Ball.
Warnings/Rating: None

The day has finally arrived and the morning and afternoon are spent putting together what will be the scene of the Masquerade Ball at the Courtyard of Public Opinion. Kedan can be seen coming and going, carrying in decorations and lights and later on, various foods and desserts. Valdis, and Rue can occasionally be glimpsed directing people and moving things around, but anyone not a part of the setup will be ushered on and discouraged from lingering.

As night falls, the Courtyard will be brightly lit and ready for guests...

She laughed, and continued to flow with him, thrilled to have such an excellent partner. "Well, isn't that a pity?" she grinned, teasing him lightheartedly. "not even one line??"

Glowing. She was glowing as she recalled one of her favorite performances. "That's all I ask of you~"

Kaiba couldn't help but pause and blink at the sung line. Certainly he recognized it, a line from the opera's love song. But he was stunned by the fact that this girl had a rather lovely voice. Plus the fact that she had directed it at him.

Not that girls had never tried to flirt with him before, but it was always because they wanted something from him, not because they were interested in him as a person. It was one reason he never really cared to get involved romantically with any girls. But there was no reason to suspect such here. He wasn't sure to make of it.

The dancing came to a stop and Kaiba cleared his throat. "I should go. It was a pleasure," he said politely but hurriedly, before turning to leave.
