This time we're gonna get funky
Characters: Pepper Potts and OPEN
Date: November 12
Location: Jade Dojo
Situation: Pepper turns 18 today! Party time, y'all
Warnings/Rating: None yet
It's the 12th of November, which means that Pepper is becoming a Legal Adult, according to the laws of her home. Maybe those kinds of things don't apply as much here (she has no idea what the age is to become an adult in Keeliai), and even if she wasn't turning eighteen, it's still her birthday. Which, of course, means there has to be a party.
And not just any party. Unlike Tony and Gene, she wants a real bash. Not a rowdy one, of course, but one that is totally fun and super awesome. Bakura was kind enough to let her use the dojo, so once the sun goes down and the students have left, she sets everything up. There's a table against one wall with snacks, drinks and the obligatory cake with eighteen candles; it's obviously not as lavish as the masquerade refreshments, but it looks good. The left over streamers and paper lanterns from Tony's party in July have made a reappearance, carefully placed around the room so as not to get in the way nor cause any damage to the dojo walls when they're removed.
The armor is set up in a far corner, so anyone who hasn't seen it yet will get the chance. She might even take people for rides if they want - although let's be honest, she's the one that wants to go flying again like she did with Raine. For the moment though, it's acting as the music player and disco ball machine. Not what Tony had intended when he built it, but she thinks this only makes it that much more awesome. Pepper can go from apocalypse-preventing mode to party mode in the space of seconds.
There are also a few board games and several decks of cards on one of the benches, in case anyone feels like playing games.
Although she did send out specific invitations, she's perfectly happy if anyone brings a guest she doesn't know, or if someone amiable decides to drop by, attracted by the sounds of the party. The more the merrier, right?
(OOC Note: Let me know if you want a specific starter, and feel free to put up your own! It's a party, have fun!)

Mike's sudden turn of seriousness would seem to indicate that he understand this very sobering fact.
no subject
Mike is an evangelist of that particular church.
His eyes narrow.
"What kind of cake?"
no subject
Yes, she is proud of the cake, even if she didn't actually make it.
no subject
Finally, exhale.
"That's...that's so beautiful..."
no subject
"Well, there's plenty to go around. And snacks, too," she adds. "Gotta balance that sugar."
no subject
Blink-blink.
"Says who?"
no subject
Bakura even made comments about her eating habits (not regularly, and usually more in jest than in seriousness) and he probably wouldn't like to be called her 'sensei'.
no subject
And he means that quite literally.
no subject
Pepper was not exactly what you would call a 'healthy' eater, and her metabolism was still running fast enough that even Belly Buster Burger wouldn't undo her.
no subject
Mike counts them off on his fingers. This...requires the use of both hands.
"Salty-Crunchy, Cheesy, Dessert, and Chocolate."
no subject
"Well, I think I've got at least three of those covered right now," she says, gesturing to the table of snacks. "Dig in."
no subject
Not to devour all the food himself, no...that'll be later, but rather to gather Pepper up in as big a hug as can come from someone who's barely five feet tall and is encased in a rather sizable shell.
no subject
Mike is one of the few people who is as willing as she is to give and get serious bear hugs. It's an excellent birthday present.
