Home and Back Again [January Catch-All]

Characters: Yuri Lowell and YOU
Date: All of January
Location: Various Locations
Situation: Yuri is looking for a Kedan baby's parents and also experiences going back home.
Warnings/Rating: None at the moment.

After finding a Kedan baby at the end of the last month, the first week of January saw Yuri looking for her parents. Despite asking around, and Anton's contacts, the little girl's parents had yet to be found. She was at least in good hands, being well taken care of by both Yuri and Dove. However, as he had planned, Yuri paid a visit to Milyn in the form of exchanging a favor for taking a dreaming trip back home. Starting on the 8th, Yuri wakes up again on the evening of the 10th, having slept for two days. It's then that he returns back to where he and Dove are staying at the guild house in the Sky Sector with Lambert at his side. Thinking about all that he had experienced and trying to process the fact that he'd lived several months in the span of two days.

A - Closed to Duke
Not long after he returns, Yuri is seeking out Duke. Which means going outside the city and into the forests surrounding it, because that's where he knows he'll find the guy who insists on living in seclusion. Lambert is with him of course, able to sniff out the guy far better than Yuri could ever hope to. So it's by the dog's nose that they're heading in the man's direction.

B - Closed to Dove and Sion
Once Yuri had settled in again into every day life on the turtle, things got back to relative normalcy. By this time it's in the middle of the month, just after the fog has finally lifted. A day with fair weather means going out into the city and doing some errands that are much easier to do now without the oppressive fog. Thus Yuri would be seen with Dove, walking with the baby in tow as they took turns holding her. Lambert protectively as he's also taken a liking to the tiny Kedan.

C - Open to all
Whatever you want! If anyone would like a starter than just let me know!

WELL THAT IS A THING. Sion doesn't exactly yelp, but his eyes widen and he does remain very still. At least externally.

He is frantically thinking over what he could have done to get this sort of reaction, and with a sinking feeling it comes down to that gap after he had been talking to Valdis. The one the healer had said he'd nearly killed people in.

So after deciding that Asruld had made a massive mess that Sion has to live with, he starts a thinking on escape. The heat he can feel through his layers of clothing is enough to tell him that just jumping and running probably will end badly.

So he puts his groceries down and raises his hands in surrender, trying to remember how Misumi is cast. "If.. You're in any mind to hear it, I could explain?"

He sounds sane enough-

She keeps her eyes steady, irritated by his nonchalance and wary of his compliance, but keeps the fire at a safe (but probably still slightlyuncomfortable) distance. For the moment, she forces herself to ignore the frightened Kedan; better to be safe than sorry, and if they're to be sorry, at least she won't have to apologize for clearing he area of innocents. She's every bit aware of Yuri beside her, and satisfied with the level of control she now holds and the backup at her side, she'll allow him to speak.

But not without putting in her first two cents to get things rolling.

"You killed me."

"I what?" Her words put a halt to his escape plans as... Really? It's a little telling about the life he lead that he is more alarmed about not remembering this than he is about having killed someone.

He slowly brings his hands to rub at his face. Okay, abandoning trying to remember Misumi, that would be disastrous at the moment.

"The healer.. She said nearly..." Ugh Asruld why.

But he exhales and drops his hands and looks squarely at her. "Clearly, here, it wouldn't mean quite as much as it ought." If he did kill her, or well, his body did, and it was as normal she wouldn't be here to tell him that. "But if it would make you feel better about it, you could kill me." He pauses, and offers a crooked smile. "It would work on him too, because it's my body." Was, at least. This whole exercise in 'running around and trying to kill people and not remembering' is pushing it toward mostly his.

I'm sorry this is so late and it sucks...

It's irritating, of course, that the concern is so sorely misplaced (not that she can be completely aware of that, though it's certainly not grief she's reading in him), but even more shocking is his returned suggestion. Before she can react with a straightforward 'no', however, she's caught off guard again.

" Work on him too?'....What?"

Obviously she's pissed that she's been killed... but now she's just extremely confused as well. There had been something off about him. Not that it's enough to relieve him of any guilt he should be feeling for doing...whatever it was that he had been up to.

The flames remain steady, but she does force herself to relax a little, for Aveline's sake, as the child squirms uncomfortably in her arms.

"Ahh..." He would like to suggest they take this somewhere more comfortable, but, well, that's probably not going to be comfortable either way, given the fire. A spike of amusement, that probably would get him singed to suggest.

"It's a long story? My .. bloodline, is susceptible to a god... And I happened to be strong enough not to go insane on contact so he's stuck in me?" His tone isn't quite questioning, but... 'this is ridiculous, I know'. There's a faint feeling of omission to it. Sion is neglecting to share some information, and its a little obvious. How do you get the god, why is it instant insanity-

"And it's my body, so anything you do to me will end up effecting him. He.. can't really do any ridiculous feats of healing." ... Sion thinks, at least. He did come back to his body with injuries, so that's a point in favor of Asruld not having his usual powers.

"But it's really a terrible story, not appropriate for kids at all. ... Not really appropriate for anyone, if I think about it..." A tired hatred of .. himself, his situation, his world.
