Situation: Yuri is looking for a Kedan baby's parents and also experiences going back home.
Warnings/Rating: None at the moment.

After finding a Kedan baby at the end of the last month, the first week of January saw Yuri looking for her parents. Despite asking around, and Anton's contacts, the little girl's parents had yet to be found. She was at least in good hands, being well taken care of by both Yuri and Dove. However, as he had planned, Yuri paid a visit to Milyn in the form of exchanging a favor for taking a dreaming trip back home. Starting on the 8th, Yuri wakes up again on the evening of the 10th, having slept for two days. It's then that he returns back to where he and Dove are staying at the guild house in the Sky Sector with Lambert at his side. Thinking about all that he had experienced and trying to process the fact that he'd lived several months in the span of two days.

A - Closed to Duke
Not long after he returns, Yuri is seeking out Duke. Which means going outside the city and into the forests surrounding it, because that's where he knows he'll find the guy who insists on living in seclusion. Lambert is with him of course, able to sniff out the guy far better than Yuri could ever hope to. So it's by the dog's nose that they're heading in the man's direction.

B - Closed to Dove and Sion
Once Yuri had settled in again into every day life on the turtle, things got back to relative normalcy. By this time it's in the middle of the month, just after the fog has finally lifted. A day with fair weather means going out into the city and doing some errands that are much easier to do now without the oppressive fog. Thus Yuri would be seen with Dove, walking with the baby in tow as they took turns holding her. Lambert protectively as he's also taken a liking to the tiny Kedan.

Duke is successfully distracted from his quest for more alcohol, and he blinks over at Yuri. It might be the alcohol, but he seems less distant, or warmer as he focuses.

"Didn't 'spect to see you at all." And it's the same with his tone. Potentially the alcohol. He tries to drain his cup, finds it already empty, and frowns.

"... You could get s'mething and I could ..finish it."

Yuri laughed a little. "Yeah well they know me here better than you." Which is probably why they recognized Duke as one of his from the guild.

"Looks like you've had plenty already," he then said while motioning for the bartender to get some water for him.

"What brought you here, anyway?"

Duke makes an annoyed noise at the water, but pulls the glass closer to fiddle with.

"Why else?" Duke inclines his head toward the shelves behind the bartender... and then sits there for a moment like he unbalanced himself.

"There'sa saying, can't 'member it currently. Think that was part've the plan..."

This is really weird. If it were Raven he wouldn't have bat an eye. Duke though is normally so... Well. Serious and put together. It was strange to see him this way.

"Yeah, okay, I get it."

So Duke wanted to forget something. What was so bad that he'd... Oh. Yuri didn't know exactly when that Entelexeia had met his demise, but he had a feeling that was probably what this was all about.

Congratulations on connecting dots. Duke continues fiddling with the glass of water, because he's doing his best not to think.

"If I finish this, can get something?" ... but is still apparently intent on getting ridiculously drunk.

He already looked ridiculously drunk in Yuri's opinion.

"How about you finish that and I'll take you home... or wherever you're staying."

Yuri wasn't even sure where Duke was living these days. Last time they talked he was camping out in the woods.

"Pretty sure would be fine with more." Duke grumbles, but he is pretty sure that no one else here is going to help him, and Yuri is already saying no.

But he's already been turned down by the bartender so. He frowns, and finishes the water.

"It's... not that far." And thus Duke realizes how drunk he is when getting to his feet is more tricky then it ought to be. Okay then.

Well at least Duke isn't an obstinate drunk... just a stubborn and pouty one. But as Duke tries to stand, Yuri quickly reaches out to steady him so he doesn't end up on the floor.

"Whoa, hold on there."

And with that he'll put one of Duke's arms around his shoulder and proceed to walk out with him.

It would be ridiculous if he was anything other than stubborn and grumpy and Yuri knows it.

But Duke's going quiet now, because he managed to steady himself - or start doing that - a bit after Yuri caught him.

So they're probably outside before he half-mutters. "..right."

This.. kinda was a decision he didn't think through, the whole 'lets get drunk and forget about painful things'.

He repeats himself after a moment, a little more like he is actually talking to Yuri. "... right. at the next street." Directions!

Well this situation was already weird enough, so he wasn't able to discount anything at this point. Duke getting drunk at all is kinda ridiculous.

When they get outside, Lambert is there waiting for them. The dog smells the alcohol on the man with the white hair and watches the both of them closely as he follows.

And yes... good, directions. Hopefully Duke isn't inebriated enough to forget where he lives.

"Alright then," and he takes a right at the next street.

And thankfully his directions remain pretty good. There's only two mix-ups of which direction is the one he's turning and the one he said.

Yuri probably isn't surprised that they end up in the wood sector, and Duke is not-entirely confused looking when he stops in the street and half stumbles a turn.

"... Thought it was further." But he's fishing in a pocket now.

Yuri is patient but he's starting to look a little exasperated when they get to the Wood Sector. Which no it's not surprising that Duke would be living here. Yuri hasn't spent a whole lot of time in this sector himself, thinking it kinda weird that people live in trees. It does kinda remind him of Halure though.

When Duke starts reaching for something in his pocket though he looks up.

"This it?"

Duke likes the walk, how rude.

His reply is really more of just a throat noise. He's focused on this key business, but he does get them, and then gets them pointed the right direction from his hand.

And then the arm that's about Yuri's shoulder - assuming Yuri doesn't resist Duke pulling away - starts to slip off, because Duke is totally going to go to his door now. or whatever it is that is the entrance to the .. tree house.

Except he doesn't get his arm all the way off Yuri's shoulders. Duke stops pulling away when his hand is about the back of Yuri's neck, when he turns to face Yuri.

And here is an awkward drunk kiss. Kinda.. just stuck his face up to Yuri's in a way that happened to make lips meet.

But totally didn't seem like he stumbled or anything into it.

And off to his house he goes like he didn't do anything odd.

Still.. with a terrible drunk sense of balance, but he makes it there and works on unlocking his door.

Don't think too hard on 'not as close as I was to Elucifer', Yuri.

Duke pulling away brought no protest from Yuri. He had done his duty in seeing him home and would like to get back home himself.

It's just that... He doesn't quite pull away, Duke's hand on his neck. Yuri was just about to ask what he's doing when his face is suddenly RIGHT THERE. Yuri freezes in stunned silence, eyes wide, when the other man... kisses him?!

...

Yuri is left speechless as Duke pulls away and stumbles into his house. His face quickly turning red as he stands there in the street for several moments. He's not really thinking very well at all right now because what the hell just happened?

Running a hand down his face he eventually regains some composure and starts walking home. Where he will definitely scrub his mouth and his brain. Next time he'll think twice before walking a drunk Duke home.
