"I --" Anakin did stop. He turns to glance at Obi-Wan. His gaze ended up drifting from emotional to almost solemn. "I'm sorry, Master. I shouldn't ... I know better than to let my emotions to get me. It's just this place and I have a lot on my mind."
He finally returned to his seat slumping down defeatedly. Does he tell him? Divulge his deepest secrets. His internal conflict clashed almost as much as the raging storm that makes up his outward feelings. He said too much already. But then again, it was all in the past.
"My mother, she --" his voice broke with a heavy sigh, it was difficult to think of this again. "The sand people, they took her prisoner. Captured and tortured her. I found their camp, but it was too late. She'd been through too much. Her body suffered too much pain. They destroyed her, Obi-Wan. And she died in my arms."
Of course there is more to this story, but he doesn't open up about that quite yet. Instead he goes another route.
"If only I could have gone back to Tatooine when my dreams first occurred. I could have stopped it. I could have saved her. But I didn't. I failed her. And then I failed you."
