"You would have turned me over to the Council." His words were automatic, falling from his lips before they ever really registered as a thought. Though he subconsciously felt Obi-Wan's feelings, another part of his mind twisted into feelings of disbelief.

Obi-Wan would never trust him if he told him what happened after. But did he ever to begin with? The older Jedi stood like a tall beacon. The perfect example of a Jedi, he heard others say. Anakin knew him to be wise, and skillful. There was no one else he'd rather have at his side in battle.

But he didn't truly trust him. No one did. Were they afraid of his power? Anakin isn't sure, but he knows it's something. He feels it in the way some people look at him.

And sitting here now, with the raw emotion rippling between them, he didn't see any difference. Obi-Wan wanted honesty, but he wouldn't want to hear this next part.

"You don't know what I did," finally coming to the conclusion that he'll confess this one thing and see what happens. "I killed them, Master. I killed them all. The entire village. I slaughtered them like they were nothing. Small pieces of trash easily brushed aside. I went through the entire village and I murdered them all."
