[When all else fails, set on fire. It was a principle that had worked to ruin Katniss, so she applies it to the mutts now. Having retrieved what arrows she could from her botched attempts at shooting the dead bodies down, she wraps them in alcohol soaked rags pilfered from ruined stores. After trying to light it from one of the fiery surfaces, she discovers that the flames there are, unhelpfully, not real. Still, she didn't survive the Games (or her district) without learning a skill or two. She soon as a small blaze roaring next to her relatively defensible spot, waiting for her to set her arrows afire. Her hands are surprisingly steady; she'd gotten the vomiting out of the way earlier, and is now working in a sort of dazed calm.
