[Open] Hope you don't mind being wet
Characters: Luke Skywalker and you
Date: Through June
Location: Around Keeliai
Situation: Catchall! Luke can be found in the gardens in the Sky sector a lot. Because trees.
A. Rain
The rain might be cold, and Luke had, even before coming here, found out that being wet and having wet clothes sticking to cold, clammy skin wasn't much fun... But on the other hand, it was rain, and it was still something that felt... special. Impossible, in a way.
So it's pretty easy to find him all over, probably just standing or sitting somewhere, face turned up towards the sky, eyes closed, and a small smile on his face. Completely drenched.
(Someone's gonna get sick one of these days.)
B. Eaten by peace
The tremors weren't anything new, but being caught by a wave of tranquility both like and unlike what could be experienced in the Force, but unable to break out of it... Luckily he probably wasn't doing anything in particular when it happened, might even seem to simply be looking at some greenery or another in the garden in the Sky sector until he breaks out of it, but either way, it's not something he'd like to see happen more than once.
Unfortunately, it does.
C.Floating rocks in the garden - Sky sector
It might be simple, but considering he'd had all of a month of proper training so far, maybe simple was best. And while he could get more help now, he just wanted... to make sure he had what basics he'd already gotten down properly. To that end, Luke was sitting on the grass, eyes closed, and keeping several rocks of varying size in the air around him.

After about an hour, she takes an umbrella and heads over to where he's standing, blocking the water from dropping on him and handing him a towel.
"If you get sick, I will call Raine over and have her heal you in a very painful way. It's too cold to stand out here like this. Come inside, dry off and I will make you something hot to drink."

Of course, he sure hoped he won't get sick; he remembered all too well the few times he'd been sick growing up, and the creeping inevitability of pneumonia he'd felt through the dead haze during the night on Hoth...
"... Do we have hot chocolate?" Perking up at the thought, Luke smiled. He'd found it a short while ago here, and if there was one thing he hoped existed in their own galaxy as well, it was that.
no subject
"Of course we do. It's almost a requirement in the house, after Anakin and I discovered it. Worth it's weight in credits."

Tilting his head into the little touch, Luke grinned.
"Then you couldn't stop me from following you if you tried. That's something else I hope I remember so I can find it again."
no subject
"Ah, I'm so glad that I have a reasonable son. Perhaps if you could teach your nephew something resembling reason, we'd be able to have a civil conversation. Besides, many things can be forgiven over a cup of hot chocolate."

"No promises," Luke sighed, shaking his head, "so far we've mostly avoided each other... seems to be easier for him." If he could help, he would, but what might, in Kylo's opinion, help him, was probably nothing Luke could or would want to give.
"Almost anything," he agreed, amused, "I hope it's not too expensive at home, but if it is, I guess I'll have to take the chance while here, instead." Absently, he rubbed his hair again, and decided it might, indeed, be time to get into something dry.

She wished she could talk to her grandson, to get to know him and hear about his parents and his childhood like she did with Luke, but his arrogance and selfish behavior was something she couldn't abide.
"He's told me it's best that I stay away from him, ignore our familial tie, but he continues to come to the library while I'm there. He even barged onto the lawn the day that I brought our pets home."
That had gone so very well. He both made her sympathetic and irritated at the same time. She wasn't sure she'd be able to talk to him any more than Luke could.
"Well, it's not terribly expensive here, so just enjoy it while you can." Like so many other things he had here but not back home. "Come, let's get inside."

Might be what Kylo needed, someone removed from it that he didn't have any strong reactions to prior to meeting her. But then, Luke frowned, even as he nodded and fell into step alongside Padmé as they started to walk back.
(He took the umbrella from her to better accommodate them both, because while yes, there wasn't an extreme height difference between them, it was still easier like this.)
"Though, if you need help..." he absolutely would, even if that might make a tense situation tenser. "And I absolutely will. Though I guess having chocolate every day would be a bit extreme."
Luke smiled even as he scrunched his nose briefly at the thought, still considering the merit of it.

She handed over the umbrella without thinking, allowing for both of their comfort.
"I'm not so sure that I need help as I need to find a way to speak to him without him getting angry and sullen and it making me draw back. I've never done well with someone being openly hostile with me for no reason. Even in the Senate, with the Separatists, there was a reason."
no subject
"I'm sure you'll figure it out. You don't have to," he smiled faintly, matching step with her to make sure they were both as covered as they could be, even if he, since he was soaked, really shouldn't bother, "but if you keep at it, I'm sure you will."
no subject
"I might, but with the capricious nature of this world, I'm not at all certain it will do much good." She stared ahead, her eyes heavy. "He was here before and was very different, very reserved when it came to talking to me then."
no subject
That it was real? Of course. He'd felt the squeezing cold in the cave, felt the way Darth Vader seemed to darken the Force whenever he was nearby. But Luke wasn't sure he believed there was no way back.
Taking a short, sharp breath, he shrugged and straightened up, righting the umbrella back to cover them both.
"Ah, sorry. Huh, that's weird... despite being the same otherwise?"
no subject
And the Jedi didn't do that a lot of the time.
"Hm, I think he'd been here longer and had more time to adjust to the ways of this world. He'd certainly met Anakin and Obi-Wan before talking to me. But when he returned, he had no memories of his time here and was very rude and tried to intimidate me with his height and anger."
Which was a joke. A huge, not funny joke.

No returning from the Dark Side, ever. But... was that really true? Shaking his head to himself, Luke refocused on his mother and the warmth in his gut from hearing her call him 'son'.
"I've noticed that happens quite a lot, if someone's taller than you are," rolling his eyes, Luke snorted. It was just crude, and he was pretty sure the number of times it worked didn't really make up for it... at all. He didn't know, but hopefully it backfired more often than it worked.
