[OPEN] Days go by...
Characters: Midii Une, Zatanna Zatara, Aya & OPEN
Date: Month of June
Location: Various (specified in Headers)
Situation: Various (specified in Headers)
Warnings/Rating: None to start; will warn if anything pops up
MIDII - (Fire Sector)
[She was on the roof.]
[Not an uncommon place to find certain individuals, granted, but...certainly not the first place one might normally find her. Midii's reason for being up there, though, was twofold. The first, and much simpler explanation, was that she was looking for a moment of privacy. The streets and open grassy areas were all full of people. It was difficult to find any place where she wouldn't be lost in a crowd. So she'd found a nice, open seat on the edge of a rooftop. Her legs lightly swinging over the edge as she ate her lunch--a stuffed pastry bun, with a canister of tea and small bag of cookies.]
[Her second reason, however, was the view. From the ground, it wasn't quite so noticeable, but once she had enough elevation...she was sure of it. That glow in the distance. Not a reflection of any of the sector's fire displays, but something else. It was curious. Dim enough that she couldn't see where it was coming from just yet, and that made her all the more--]
[Her train of thought was interrupted mid-bite as the very building she was on suddenly shook. Not violently, but enough to startle her into dropping her pastry. Down...down...several stories down.]
[Wincing, she peered over the edge with a sheepish look on her face, hoping it hadn't...actually hit anybody.]
Sorry!
[So much for privacy.]
ZATANNA - (Welcome Center)
[As the continued sole runner of the Welcome Center, Zatanna had to devote a LOT of her time to the place. Which, admittedly, wasn't so difficult when she also lived in one of the back room areas.]
[As Spring--or what passed for Spring in Keelai--was making itself more wetly known, the now 19-year-old Mistress of Magic was busy with the usual cleaning. Occasionally, one might even wander in through the front door and find her floating several feet in the air, legs crossed in what seems like it would be a comfortable position if it had been in a chair. She had a piece of chalk in hand, a small bowl full of what looked like salt in the other, and was drawing strange symbols on various corners of the room, above the windows, and over the doors.]
[Once in a while, she might be seen in the common room large plush chair, by the fireplace, with a large kedanese spell book in hand. Idly flipping through the pages while occasionally making notes in her own private spell book.]
AYA - (Multiple Locations)
[Up in the air.]
[Moreso than usual, that is where people will find the young Green Lantern. On occasion, she would be traveling to an intended location, but more often than not, she would be simply patrolling. Maintaining as casual of a presence as possible so as not to alert any potential danger. Eyes constantly scanning the streets below for signs of danger. Or, more preferably, a familiar face to encounter.]
[Only then would she gently lower herself back down to ground level, greeting the presence with a warm smile and nod of acknowledgement.]
MISC.
((If there's any specific scenario or location you'd like to encounter one of the three girls, feel free to specify in a starter header, or else contact me at
hina_mun and we can hash something out!))

"Just Poe is fine, please. Nice to miss you miss Zatanna." He shook her hand with a smile. "I would say not to that help. I was a pilot back home, part of the military, I have combat training and I know my way around mechanical engineering. I've trying to find a job that could suit me, maybe in the Metal District."

Poe took a look at the consoles and NOPE, he decided immediately he wasn't going to tamper with them.
"I can behave, promise."
no subject
No need of a Midnight Hotel incident repeat.
"...and if you're thinking what I think you're thinking," she added, catching that look at the consoles. "...then I strongly recommend you don't. I don't care how good of a mechanic you are. I don't care if you're part machine yourself." (Because she knew there were individuals here who could make such a claim.) "You mess with the consoles, and they'll literally melt all over you. Had a friend once try to tinker with his. The end result wasn't pretty."
no subject
He was there present to see it, Poe doesn't want a repeat either. He raised his hands briefly as in surrender.
"Oh no, I wouldn't dare. I can tell those are more organic than mechanic and I was warned about the melting before. Did your friend get hurt or just scolded for ruining a console?"
no subject
no subject
"Ouch. That's really a good way to convince people not to mess with them. Frankly I am still being used to this world. Some things reminds me of mine while others..." He raises his right hand to show her the leather bracelet with his soul jewel. "...worry me a little."
no subject
"They're not so bad. Honest. I mean, at least you get to keep it with you. When I first arrived here way back when, we couldn't even see where they kept out souls. Then, later, they were stuck in these lantern things in each of our apartments. We couldn't stay away for too long or else we'd start feeling all weird."
She lightly touched her fingers to a small pendant hanging around her neck. A blue choker with a small, silver snowflake.
"Plus, they don't mess with any other charms. So I can't complain."
no subject
He was looking at his leather bracelet under a new light now. At least he could carry it with him always, Poe didn't want to leave it out of his sight. "And, uh, your floating earlier...where you meditating?"
no subject
It was still a debate as to which were worse. Her soul gem...that had been taken from her, along with several others, during the muggings. But then there had been the conditions of the Lanterns for some time. It was the worse kind of curfew.
"Meditating?" She echoed, before realizing. "Oh. No, not this time. It's just that floating is way easier than a ladder. Safer, too."
no subject
"Where I come from Force users to that to get more in communion with the Force. There aren't that many left, though. I think there's more of them in this city than in my own galaxy." It's a little sad but it also gives Poe hope. "Everyone in your world can do what you do?"
no subject
(Really,it was more embarrassing than anything else; that some local punks had managed to get the drop on her.)
"Yeah...we don't really have that Force thing. At least, not so far as I know. And no, not everyone can do it. I mean, there are others who can fly and do other things, but my magic's unique to my family. I learned from my dad."
