Look and See Her, How She Sparkles, It's the Last Unicorn...
Characters: Valdis and YOU!
Date: The Last two weeks of July.
Location: Throughout Keeliai
Situation: Valdis has turned into a Unicorn
Warnings/Rating:Good Natured fluff (Aside from one thread)
She was alive. She had won. For now, at least, but Valdis would take what she could get. Returning to her home, however, was difficult, for the Midnight Hotel was no more and Anton was gone. Almost everyone she had cared about had left, her pack had grown far too small in the last year, but she could change that. She helped herself to some tea down in the kitchens, carrying it up to her room, sipping it as she went, suddenly incredibly thirsty as she hadn't drank anything for weeks. The first thing she noticed was that her room had been cleaned, but everything was still mostly as she had left it. Klaus had left things for her, two glass unicorns on her bedside table and Anton's tablet next to them. She burst into tears at the sight of them, finally able to mourn properly. She cried until she fell asleep, exhausted.
The last thing she expected was to wake up on the floor, feeling very strange. She yawned, shaking her head and lurching to her feet. Odd. She didn't remember shifting into a Hound. She looked down at her hooves and froze. Hooves? Frantic, she went to the mirror to looked at what had happened, quickly noting the spiral horn protruding from her head and the white mane and body. She had to be dreaming, there was no way in hell that she was actually a unicorn.

Valdis had no comforting words for the girl. She hadn't know that Pepper had lost a parent, it seemed there was much she didn't know.
If I truly believed I was alone, then I wouldn't still be fighting. I only separated myself from everyone so no one would get hurt.

It hadn't been doing this to her before, at least not recently, or to this extent. So there had to be a way to help; Pepper hated not being able to do anything.

She sighed, her breath rattling in her chest.
Perhaps Bakura might know something...some way I can better fight it.

"I can ask him. Or you can. I brought your radio. Well, you can't really use it right now, but... it's better than nothing. You'll have it when you change back."

She yawns, tired, perhaps the Void would let up long enough for her to get some sleep. Perhaps Pepper would stay with her and that would help keep the creature at bay. But there were so many variables...
Thank you for bringing the radio...I...you can come in, if you like...just...try not to panic. I look terrible.
Her fur was matted with dried blood and from the feel of the floor against her side, she was probably thinner than she should be. Damn that creature, breaking their deal before she was ready to.
