First off, after the riots, Jackie closes the Koi to clean up. Any help is appreciated.

But after that, the bar seems to be doing better business now, so that's not too bad. Jackie's happy about it, at least. So when the door opens and he sees a customer, he smiles and enthusiastically waves to them.

"Hey! Welcome to the Koi, man."

"Business with a smile," she said, her tone not quite indicating sarcasm or sincerity because she wasn't quite sure how to react either. People that smiled at bars were either saps or fake in her experience. But maybe people were just nice here? She wasn't sure which was worse.

She seemed to hover through the doorway to the bar, flashing a set of spindly arms when she pulled up her skirt to sit on the barstool. She dropped a juulan on the counter. "I want cheap but not crap. What'll one of these things get me?"

"It'll get you cheap, but not crap," Jackie said with a smirk. He wasn't even fazed by the Stalk's appearance. He'd been in Keeliai long enough to get used to stuff like this.

He poured for her - an amber liquid that tasted a little like whisky, a little like gin.

She takes a sip. Mmm, that's not bad at all.

"So lizard or monkey?" she asks casually.
