Location: Sitting somewhere around the Wood sector, near his suite.
Situation: Enjolras is alive and doesn't really want to talk to anyone on the magical talking box yet.

[It was strange here, but peaceful.

Peaceful was what Enjolras needed at the present moment, with his thoughts so very tumultuous. It had not been a day, in his estimation, since the barricade around the Corinthe and their revolution had been cut short. It was hard to believe, sitting on this bench in the evening sun, that the past few hours were not all a dream of violence and passion.

He was grounded by the state of his clothes. The ocean had washed most of the blood away and something had staunched the bleeding, but the bullet holes were there on his vest, and there were marks on his skin beneath which could only be caused by musket fire.

He should see a doctor, he knew. But he did not wish to deal with the after yet. For now he simply wanted to sit, in the late evening sun, in all of his wretched and bloody state, and think on this:

He had died for the Republic.




But should anyone come along and wish to talk, then he would welcome that also.]

But primarily the same shape? How curious. [He's lost in pondering this for a moment, but shakes his head.]

Forgive me, I was only thinking. Is there anything else you have noticed?

[idealisme]

No, that is the extent of what I could gather from afar. Someone with greater knowledge of anatomy would be able to discover more, I believe.

[philosophe]

Then I shall be certain to watch carefully when we do go out.

[idealisme]

[He nods.]

Those who brought me here were most unwilling to discuss any matters of significance. Was it the same for you?

[philosophe]

Perhaps they do not know, and it is not that they are unwilling. I confess I was not in a state for very many questions to be asked.

[idealisme]

They will not say what our purpose here is, only that a so-called Emperor is behind it.

[philosophe]

Then we should try and find this Emperor, I think.

[idealisme]

[That brings a half-smile to his face. Combeferre, you are the best friend a man could ask for.]

There is a palace, they said. It should not be hard to find if we ask.

[philosophe]

When we are fit for it, then we shall go to it if we can. [He's smiling back, honestly. It's always good to have something to look forward to, after all, especially with Enjolras by his side.]

[idealisme]

Speaking of fit- [Enjolras pauses, looking down at his blood-stained shirt and vest.] would you look me over, to ensure I am in no danger from my wounds?

I removed the pieces of shrapnel I could find and washed my wounds out, but I do not wish to be taken unawares by something I have overlooked.

[philosophe]

Of course, you needn't ask. Did they all go through, or were there some you could not get at?

[idealisme]

Being frank- I ache in so many places it is hard to know what I have missed. [He gives a frustrated huff.]

[philosophe]

If you would care to go to your lodgings, then, I will look there. [Not that it matters much, with the state both their clothing is in, but there must be some decorum.]
