Catch-All for Fourth Wall.... And Other Things

Conan was putting a lot of effort into avoiding his housemates as much as possible. After the events of the last month, he had very little interest in being cornered into talking about everything that had happened. He'd show up for meals and at night, but for the most part he spent as much time as possible outside of the apartment.

He needed time. Time to figure out how he felt about all the new revelations.

2. Central District
Conan spent a lot of time skateboarding around the district, sometimes stopping to practice soccer or to get something to drink at one of the restaurants. He watched for trouble, as always, but for once things seemed to be quiet. Perhaps it was because of the strangely large number of new arrivals.

3. Library
At the library, Conan happily found a chair and buried himself behind stacks of books. Between the on-going study of the kedan languages and the numerous question he was investigating about this place, he had more than enough to occupy himself for hours.

4. KPD
Even though he was mostly certain that the work he had been assigned at the police department was meant to keep him busy and out of trouble, Conan still made a point of stepping in every day. Sometimes there was something interesting for him to work on. On occasion he stops in to see some of the different officers he was slowly getting acquainted with.

Conan stays behind Ran as John walks in. He looks up at him curiously, wondering for a moment how much the other Conan would have told him of Ran. He really needed to sit down with him and discover exactly how much he knew.

But seeing that Ran was taking care of introductions, he ignores the conversation and walks over to Sherlock.

Oh John, generally he misses everything of importance but he does occasionally have the capacity to be annoyingly observant at the worst of times. Sherlock does bother with any help and slowly pushes himself to his feet.

"Well then young lady, I can say with a fair amount of certainty you're very impressive." He means that. Both in a condescending and somehow complimentary way. He stands up at straight as he can manage at the moment and tries to appear as if he's no longer in pain.

John doesn't seem to mind that Ran's a little flustered and tries to bow to him first. The handshake is a brief one, knowing that it's not exactly a greeting the Japanese tend to do and it might make her a little more uncomfortable than she already is. "Don't worry about it too much, Sherlock's had a lot worse."

What with how some of their cases have gone. "It's nice to meet you, Ran. You're welcome to stay with us for as long as you'd like."

He knows that if they don't allow the girl to stay that Conan will go with her. They'll find somewhere for her to sleep temporarily. Plus John would be grateful for another set of hands to help with the cooking around this place.
