Open...ish.
Characters: Damian Wayne - Robin (
demon_brat), Storm (
storm_warning), and anyone else who's been kedan-napped and wants rescued?
Location: Fire sector
Situation: Getting kidnapped by the kedan. Breaking out.
Warnings/Rating: Violence against children. General violence. With Damian, overall minors abuse is very likely. Language. Let's put PG-13 with possibility to raise it, if needed?
Notes: Both prose and actionspam are good with me. For anyone wanting to be rescued from the kidnapping/wanting to help with the rescue, please make sure Damian and Storm have arrived at the location where the captives are taken.
[Damian Wayne has a very peculiar definition of staying out of trouble. He's aware of the fact, and he's not certain that his Father is when he makes the request, but he should be. He's Batman.
Staying out of trouble means he's not trying to go up against Evandau directly and on his own. He's gathering information, sure. But he's mostly staying out of the way of the police.
He's still out there, in full costume and on full alert, keeping track of the turf war and making sure as few of the civilians become victims as possible. And gathering information so that when they start working on the situation - and he has no doubt whatsoever that Batman will, with time, turn on it, they'll have all the intelligence they will need.
He's watching a mother and very young child finally vanish into the shadow of an entrance, from street level, because the combination of fires and the nighttime glow and the spacing between buildings makes rooftop vantage view unreliable, when they set upon him. Maybe they've kept an eye on him, and maybe they've figured that a costumed person would be of more importance somehow, or maybe they are stupid enough to think that grabbing a child will be easy, but these particular kedan actually set on Robin.
The first two end up with broken kneecaps (that's way harder than it should have been, but he knew that the locals' strength was greater than human, ditto endurance), and the third one's thigh has a long, fast-bleeding but not lethal gash from his batarang, before Grayson's lessons catch up with Damian's reflexes.
If they are grabbing a kid off the streets, have they grabbed more? Where did they take them?
He realizes he can spend time beating the group here, then questioning them, then finding his way to the location he gets from them, then having to scope things from the outside...
... or he can let them just take him there. And then beat them and get whoever else is there out. And maybe learn something else on the way.
Tough as it is on his dignity, that plan has greater merit.
And letting himself be captured... really is tough.
But he's accomplished more difficult tasks. And not like the pain that's inflicted matters.]

Oooh. And YAY solved!!
What else can you do?
[The question is blunt, but not tinged with disgust. Just necessity to know the resources. Then he looks at the girl, and the smirk is visible beneath the hood's shadow.]
Don't worry, there'll be a distraction. Have either of you seen any sign there may be anyone else here who is... an unwilling guest?
no subject
And there's probably a few more. This place looks too organised to be a one-shot deal -- why'd they pick something this big?
