Chat honestly can't remember how he ended up with the amulet. He tends to pick up shiny, questionably mystical things and keep them on his person. It's not a wise thing, really, but there you go. He took it and headed out on patrol. Maybe Marinette would like it, who knows.

But, of course, on patrol, he'd come across another cultist, who once again gave him the slip. The anger and frustration from continually losing track of them is enough to set off the amulet.

Which is how there's now a black and green ghost dragon terrorising a part of the city, in search of the missing cultist. Please take him down before he treads on anyone, the guilt would consume him.

The guilt would doubly consume him if he were to step on a certain bug too, no doubt. Especially this "bug". Honestly Adrien, what was she going to do with you, worrying her like this! She will bip that bell of his in punishment when he was back to himself.

In any case, she was closing in on the terrorizing chatdragon, bounding from rooftop to rooftop, her yoyo in hand. It wouldn't be the first time she took on a 'dragon', but it hadn't been -easy-, and she had had Chat to back her up then too. She cast a glance to the ground, watching people scurry out of the way as quick as they could - one person fell victim to the trip-when-fleeing-giant-monster-about-to-be-stepped-on Clause #28, and she quickly threw her Yoyo out, hooking it to swing herself down and pull the would be pancake out of the way before she COULD become a casualty, "Hurry out the of way, I'll get its attention!" Somehow.

She doesn't remember where she picked up the amulet. Which is, ordinarily, something Raine should be concerned about.

She isn't. And she should be concerned about that, too, only she's just truly processed that Sheena is gone, and she is so tired of losing people, and briefly, blindingly furious at the spell that gives generously and takes brutally.

Normally she can handle temper. She's more and more practiced at not taking it out on people. This time, though, it seems to swallow her whole, and--

--and quite abruptly Raine grows into a dragon. Petite for a dragon, perhaps, silvery with a scant collection of orange markings, but very, very angry.

Jack picks up the necklace from the street for safe keeping since it isn't really his style. It makes sense to him, and his guess is that someone had dropped it with all that hub-bub with the...dragons earlier. To be honest, Jack was a little bit disappointed that he had missed them.

The necklace is around his neck rather than in a pocket before he realizes that he's done it and it raises an alarm bell, but it's not like he doesn't have some new jewelry already and he can explain if he bumps into the owner while he's shopping.

He has more important things to worry about, like hunting through the curio stores in hopes of finding one of the parts he needs to get his vortex manipulator fully functional. Maybe continue that trek to Cardiff that had been so rudely interrupted. The heat is beating down on his usually chipper mood. That and the fact that he had been almost sure that the Doctor and Rose would've shown eventually.

There's a part that looks right in a box on a table in one of the shops, and his hopes soar and then plummet into a frustration only stoked by the red-hot day when he sees the other side of it corroded almost through. It was in worse shape than the one he had.

He curses, bad relations with the locals or not, and, for an even worse example of Kedan-Foreigner relations turns into a giant, translucent dragon. There isn't much of the part at all left, after a moment. The shop doesn't fare much better, something about ghostly fire, let alone sudden dragons, will apparently do that.

Then, the dragon's gaze turns outward.

Screams in the Healer's Guild are not ordinary. They're also something Kratos has a tendency to run toward, rather than away from. It's only a pity in this case that Flamberge is still in his locker -- but needs must.

Most others are fleeing. Kratos catches one or two of them to try and get answers. The first kedan babbles something about Healer Sage and dragon; the second explains something about how that's so unfair. Kratos lets them go and runs faster, toward the area of the Guild that Raine ordinarily inhabits.

This was the second dragon to appear in her city and Valdis headed toward it without hesitation, calling on as much speed as she could. She saw Ladybug swing down to rescue a civilian and stopped in her tracks, lifting her head to release a long, challenging howl.

This way, Dragon.

The dragon narrowly misses trampling the poor pancake, teeth bared. He's not angry at Ladybug but that doesn't matter right now. He barely recognises her as who she is right now. He snarls, starting towards her, until he heard the howl. His head spins in that direction, wings flaring as he starts to stomp his way in that direction.

Sure, he'll get the wolf first. The bug can be second.

Oh! Well that... was .. unexpected. Just as Ladybug was trying to figure out how to draw its attention away - which would have been a lot easier than she expected when the big guy started towards her. Until she heard the challenging howl of a ...wolf? "Hu-Ack!" Wait don't step on the puppydog!

Or her. In fact, how about no stepping on anyone in general. In any case, she's gonna scramble after wolf and dragon both, hoping they end up stopping somewhere where they won't be putting other people at risk.

The horse-sized wolf, still dwarfed by the dragon, was smart enough to know that a fight here would lead to problems, so Valdis turned tail and raced ahead, just out of the dragon's reach, leading it away from the crowds.

Catch me, She growled, if you can that is.

The dragon's ghostly tail sweeps through a crowd of people, taking out a market stall. Hopefully they're not too crushed under the debris. Chat heads off after the wolf, it was big and irritating and needed to get dealt with.

He would try his damndest to catch her, blind rage pushing him onwards. He doesn't seem to heed Ladybug at all, a rarity indeed, roaring as he quickens his pace, going after the wolf, jaws snapping at fresh air as she keeps ahead of him. She's still faster, at least.

On the one hand, it was good the wolf got the dragon's attention. On the other... Ladybug now had a dilemma. Chase after the pair or check to see if anyone needed hel--

Yeah that..wasn't even a real dilemma. Of COURSE she'd go and see if there was anyone who got smacked under debris. This unfortunately, meant the dragon and wolf would have a lead on her to wherever they were going. Fortunately she could swing herself across the city and catch up with them relatively quickly, so after that brief pause she quickly scampered over towards said market stall.

HOPEFULLY the wolf would be able to stay out of the dragon's jaws for now. Being in a giant creature's mouth is no fun. Ladybug knew that from experience.

Valdis stays close enough to keep the dragon focused. She winces when she hears the crash of the market stall breaking apart, and quickens her pace slightly. One of the city gates is up ahead, and Valdis heads for it, outside the city there will be less chance of casualties.

The dragon keeps going after the wolf, something to pinpoint the anger on, something to strike down and fix whatever wrong has bubbled up inside him to turn him this way at all. He doesn't even notice when he follows her towards the gates, letting out a roar. He bunches his hindquarters together (comically like a cat, buttwiggle and all) and makes a flying leap at her.

Danny hadn't been out looking for trouble, for once. He'd gotten off early from work, and thought it would be fun to go exploring one of the districts he hadn't spent much time again.

That plan changed very quickly when a shop down the road exploded. And then there was the dragon. The ghost dragon. With a way too familiar necklace.

But how did that even get here?

No time to think about that now. Danny hastily dives into a convenient alley and transforms, before chasing after the dragon.

"Hey! Wait up!"

The voice calling out wasn't familiar, and it probably wouldn't have made a difference if it was but either way Jack-the-dragon spun, tail slamming into another building to look at who was trying to find whoever was bothering him.

For once, he wasn't in much of a meet the neighbors mood.

A tongue of ghostly flame was sent flying in the direction of the voice and the dragon took to the air with a powerful leap.

Ladybug was delayed a few minutes longer than she wanted to - were the situation less dire, she would have stayed to help tidy up, but instead she waited long enough to make sure everyone at the scene was all right, before she pulled her yoyo out and swung herself up to follow the path that the wolf and dragon took.

But she has cookies! .. actually she doesn't have cookies. She could have though, you don't know. In any case Marinette had been padding down the street, chatting with Tikki when she heard the road EXPLODING. Holy crap. "Tikki, I think I'm going to need Ladybug," she told the kwami, peering around the corner, "Spots on~!"

Seconds later, Tikki vanished into her earrings and she had changed from plain old Marinette into the Miraculous Ladybug, who whipped out her yoyo and started swinging in the direction of the source of chaos. Seeing the flames being directed towards someone else, she called out a warning, "Watch out!" She didn't know who that was, but she knew that the dragon was going to be a big problem on the damage scale.

It takes Zelos a little longer than it takes Raine to work out that Sheena's disappeared. They don't see each other every day, so it's only when he realises he hasn't seen her in an abnormally long time that he goes to pay the Healer's Guild a visit.

Only to find that something's probably on fire. Go to make sure someone's okay, and end up fighting for your life. It's just like old times!

Zelos doesn't stop anyone running from the screams to try and find out what's going on -- he just runs. By virtue of that, he finds the dragon at the same time Kratos does, where he skids to a halt and draws his sword. Dragons -- what are Keeliai dragons vulnerable to? Probably not fire. Zelos takes a chance and leaps toward one of the wings, slashing down.

Valdis lunges through the gate just in time to avoid being crushed by the dragon's pounce, she spins around, fixing her gaze on the large creature. Her eyes widen as she recognizes the soul.

Chat?

This was bad.

You know what was weird? It had been almost a year since anyone had attacked him with ghost fire.

Danny hadn't missed it at all.

He quickly creates a translucent green shield out and holds it out to block the flames.

"I got it!" he calls back down to whoever it was that just shouted a warning at him. He was a little too busy at the moment to look.

If there's any recognition of her, or even of his name, he doesn't show it. He turns, at least now outside of the city so he can cause a little less damage, roaring. He's about to turn after Valdis again, when he notices the unmistakable red and black spotted ensemble that is Ladybug, his head moving to follow her, jaws snapping to try and get at her.

Oh good, she can still hear them. The dragonkitty doesn't sound happy either. All this destruction - she wasn't sure if her Miraculous would be able to repair the damage, but she'd at least cross her fingers and hope. Later. For right now, though, she needed to focus on OHGODNOTGETTINGSNAPPEDUP IN DRAGON JAWS.

She'd been swinging onto the scene, in fact, but seeing the dragon redirecting its attention to her, she had to immediately check her swing lest it send her right into its mouth where snapping jaws were a bad thing to be near. "No..oPe! Too slow -!" She narrowly whipped past, practically feeling the air as jaws closed behind her - two seconds slower and she'd be dragonchow. She instead swung herself around to the rear side of the creature, glancing around for that 'wolfie briefly.
