It is still a war memorial, to the Revolution, to the Napoleonic Wars, and to a war or two that came after your time. An unknown soldier from the Great War is interred there. But the average citizen of the world would name it as a symbol of France and have no idea that it has anything to do with war at all, let alone Napoleon.
