[Vanessa is pretty sure that she's mistaken when she sees the hellhound while moving through the market of Atam. Like, 95% sure. She's never seen one in person before, of course, but she's pretty well read when it comes to mythology.
So when she looks away and back again, to make sure it's definitely not there - and it is - she just sort of stares. And wraps her fingers around her recently found amulet. But it's not glowing or anything - would that even work on a hellhound, or is it only a Follower thing? - so maybe things are okay.
Or she's going crazy. Her molecules buzz idly, wanting to pull apart and being unable to.
