Situation: Leo takes his hoverboard flying around the different sectors!

[Leo sometimes remembers, vaguely, a promise to Annabeth that he would tell her about his hoverboard when he actually manages to finish it. Today is not that day.

He screws in the final bolt and grins as he watches the hoverboard rise from the ground. So he cheated, kind of, using a little bit of that Celestial Bronze to actually bring it to life, but whatever. Little details. He hops on it, wobbling for only a couple of seconds before he finds his balance, Thomas and Buford leaping excitedly below him.]

Alright! [He claps his hands together and rubs them excitedly.] Let's do this!

[And off he goes!]

[He groans again in response to that and pushes himself off the ground; he has a few scraps and bruises, but nothing big. Okay, so far so good. A glance at the hoverboard tells him that it's fine, too, aside from a few scratches, and he exhales in relief.

When he finally notices that it's a girl who's asked him about his well-being, though, he scrambles to his feet and grins.]

I'm fine; crashing into bushes is kind of my thing! This is nothing!

[Eponine pauses to take in Leo's scrapes, scratches, and bruises, and she wonders for a moment if she should offer to bandage them for him. She is no healer or physician, but she has had many occasions when she had to patch herself up. But he seems well enough for the fall that he took, and so she refrains from asking that, at least for the moment.

His sudden grin takes her by surprise, but she returns the smile, glad to see such a positive response from him.]

Are you? And is falling in such a way a source of amusement for you? [She tries to think if she has ever met anyone who also had such a positive reaction to crashing and scraping oneself up.] What is that thing you were standing on?

Who wouldn't want to fall if it could get you to meet a cute girl like you? [And a wink at that. Valdez swagger.

He walks to the hoverboard at then, switching it back on and allowing it to float waist-high.] This is a hoverboard I made myself, the McFly Hoverboard Generation II Turtle Edition. [He gives it a pat, his expression proud.] Although you can just call it the Loverboard.
