Situation: Leo takes his hoverboard flying around the different sectors!

[Leo sometimes remembers, vaguely, a promise to Annabeth that he would tell her about his hoverboard when he actually manages to finish it. Today is not that day.

He screws in the final bolt and grins as he watches the hoverboard rise from the ground. So he cheated, kind of, using a little bit of that Celestial Bronze to actually bring it to life, but whatever. Little details. He hops on it, wobbling for only a couple of seconds before he finds his balance, Thomas and Buford leaping excitedly below him.]

Alright! [He claps his hands together and rubs them excitedly.] Let's do this!

[And off he goes!]

[Leo immediately pulls the hoverboard into a stop, because girl. And when he casts a glance at her he's all like, wow, hold up!

So he maneuvers it so that he's now beside her and hops off, the hoverboard floating waist-high, and flashes her a dumb grin.]

I made it! Aren't I awesome?

[urbanmagic]

[Cute, and she flashes a cheerful smile of her own at that, looking at the hoverboard for a moment before she turns back to him, surprised.

Well, that's just impressive.] Seriously? Okay, that is really cool. I didn't actually think I'd see hover boards in this place.

[He lets the hoverboard lower so that he can talk to her better, and arranges himself on it so that he's sitting down on the board, feet dangling in the air.]

Yeah, I know— [And an abrupt pause at that!] Wait wait wait: "didn't actually think you'd see hoverboards in this place...?" [And his eyes widen suddenly in excitement.] Does that mean you have hoverboards in your world?!

[urbanmagic]

[Uh-oh. Excitable look at 3'o clock.] Well, not really, but we have guys who can float on things with their powers. I was thinking movies, actually.

Oh. [y u got to burst his bubble traci] Well then... [and have a wide grin here] Surprise!

[urbanmagic]

[... well, at least he recovered fast.] A very pleasant one too. How long did you manage to finish that?

[fotia]

[Hmm...] Okay, technically? Less than two days, but I had the sketches for some time. I just needed a special metal to get it to work like I want it to, but once I had that it was super easy to assemble! [Proud, and slightly arrogant? You bet.]

[urbanmagic]

[A little cocky, but she supposed she can give it leeway since he did make something awesome. At least he's not bragging about good looks or something.] A special metal, you say?

Sorry, I'm terrible with this stuff. Two days though? That's real quick work.

[fotia]

[Not bragging about good looks yet, oh you sweet summer child.]

Well the special metal is a secret ingredient of sorts, anyway. But yeah, thanks! Wanna try riding it?

[Oh goodness.]

I'd love to, if you're sure it can handle two passengers. [Because no, she is not riding that alone lest she accidentally mauls it into a building or something.]

H-Huh? Really? [WAIT A BIT TOO MUCH DISBELIEF THERE, LEO. THAT AIN'T SWAGGER. He quickly puts on a smile.] I mean, sure; I aim to please hot chicks like you.

[And he lowers the board and steps a bit more forward to leave her room at the back!]

[urbanmagic]

[... Oh boy. She really hopes he means that in a completely platonic way, because that'll be awkward otherwise.] How sweet of you. Okay, so how exactly should I hold on? [She idly wonders if it's anything like holding onto a giant floating rock, because that was kind of hard to stand on.]

[fotia]

[tbh he's not really hoping for much he's just waiting for the inevitable turn down] Just step on and place your hands on my shoulders. We could totally start slow until you get the hang of it, and then we could try those triple flips in the air or something. [He's kidding. Mostly.] What do you say?

[urbanmagic]

[Poor Leo.] I say why not? It'll be like a really exciting roller coaster ride. [And she does as instructed, comfortable enough. Heck, if she can handle flying with Blue Beetle, flying on a hover board shouldn't be too hard.]

Alright, here we go! [She looks pretty confident, though, so he goes for double speed immediately. He bends his knees and shifts his weight forward, then steps on a green button near his foot and off they go!]

[urbanmagic]

[That gets plus points, because Traci does enjoy her high-speed moments, enough to let out a whoop as she fixes her grip on his shoulders and adjusts her stance a little more to keep her balance, enjoying the rush of wind to her face.

It does help that around this part of the turtle, the air was really nice.] Booyah! Now that's what I'm talking about. Just how high does this thing go anyway?

[Whoa she's pretty into this, it's really kind of cute. He speeds it up just a tiny bit more, then is silent for a while as he ponders her question.]

I've only tried it up to like, three stories high. But hey! Want to see if it can go even higher?

[urbanmagic]

I think three stories would be enough for now. Maybe next time?

Speaking of which--- Now that I've gotten on your hoverboard, maybe I could get a name this time.

[fotia]

Oh, right— [Aaand a random piece of flying paper slaps him in the face. Swagger.

He hastily grabs the paper and tosses it away like nbd.]

Right. I'm Leo Valdez, but you can call me Swagger Master. What's your name?

[urbanmagic]

I'm Traci. [Oh god, is he for real? Swagger Master? Really? She doesn't quite laugh, but her tone does sound like she wants to.] Is Leo fine? The other's quite a mouthful if I'm ever calling you out in an emergency.

Hey, Traci! I see your point, so Leo's fine, I guess. [kanyeshrug!]

Ready to go faster?

Please. I was born ready. [She's glad he's going along with this really, because this was fun. She tightens her grip slightly, not enough to hurt, just secure herself.]
