Situation: The X-Dudes are going camping! It's been a while since they've spent some quality time together, and there's a lot to catch up on.

It felt like it had been weeks since Santo had just sat down and had any bro time with Victor. Not that they always had to spend time together, but things had just been busy and tense lately, and Santo had spent so much time trying to keep at least one job to earn enough money for them, that it really started to seem like he only saw his best friend in the mornings when he left to go work more and in the evenings when he'd pretty much crash onto his bed right away.

If it didn't seem like that already, it became obvious when Santo found out that he was practically the last person to know that Victor had a boyfriend now.

So, leaving the city for a few days to try and find more solid stone that he could build his body out of just seemed like a good excuse to go camping and reconnect. Santo hadn't found anything much better than what he already had yet, but he was losing mass through general wear and tear, so he needed to build himself a new body. He wasn't that concerned though. Santo was more interested in camping out right now, poking at the small fire they'd built before pulling out the sack with the rations he'd saved for this.

"So... Do you want to tell me what's been going on now? Kind of feels like we haven't said more than a four words to each other lately," He shrugs, taking a piece of bread before passing a much larger one over to Victor.

Victor gives Santo a flat look. "Santo. If Wally screws up, what makes you think I'll leave you anything to kick?"

"If he screws up, what makes you think I won't kick his ass just because you got to it first?"

"Because he'd have already been kicked. Don't pick on the injured."

"Your boyfriends are exceptions to that rule," He huffs. "Right up there with Sentinels, Crusaders, and Hellfire toddlers."

"The rule doesn't apply to Sentinels because they're robots and tend to keep attacking even when damaged," Victor rolls his eyes. "And I'm saying now, if it gets to the point where Wally deserves an ass-kicking, I'll handle it. You're welcome to yell at him after but unless I'm too injured to do it...his ass is mine," he pauses a bit. "to kick."

Santo just gives Victor a look that clearly says that if Wally screws up, he's going to deal with him anyway. Victor is the most important person to him on this turtle, and seeing him upset is the last thing he wants to deal with. He won't let that happen if he can help it.

But he sighs and lets it go. He knows that he's getting into business he shouldn't be getting into. "Good think you caught that or I'd have to punch you, dude."

"I'm surprised you didn't anyway."

"I'm still thinking about it, but I don't want to be the only one hauling the stones back to our place."

"Good plan there," Victor replies, leaning back and looking to the sky again. "You're using your head for once."

"Hey! I use it sometimes," He protests, even as he laughs. "Just like I'm using it right now to know that I'm going to be pulling the cart back on my own anyway, probably with either you in it or on my shoulders."

"Headbutting doesn't count," Victor laughs too. "And hey, I pulled the cart out here, you can carry it back."

"Sounds fair enough, and since you put it that way," He punches Victor's spiky arm.

Victor rubs his arm. "Hey, watch it. Those spikes are annoying when they break and regrow. They itch like hell."

Santo just rolls his eyes and gives Victor another punch for that. "Don't be such a baby. I'm not even hitting you that hard."

Victor just rolls his eyes and punches back. "Just lucky there's no windows out here for me to punch you through," he says, letting out a yawn.

Santo lets out a yawn shortly after Victor does, then lies back and starts to get comfortable. It'd been forever since they'd been able to just sleep out under the stars like this, and with the fire dying down, all they needed was a blanket to keep warm with. "You think we probably make the window guy's life hell? Or awesome, considering how much we spend on new ones?"

Victor tosses some more wood onto the fire, not wanting it to go out just yet. Stretching out once the flames are crackling as he wants them, Vic lays back to get comfortable. "Probably both," he replies, handing a blanket over to Santo.

Taking the blanket, Santo just kind of casually tosses it over himself. He brought it out of habit and more for Victor, since he didn't really need to worry about the coolness of the night. "That guy should be thanking us."

Wrapping a blanket around himself, Victor gives a little amused noise. "I'm sure he'll be sending us a fruit basket any time now."

Santo looks over at his friend, glad that, at the very least, it seems like Victor is enjoying himself. Santo missed just hanging out with him like this and doing nothing. It's been too hard with everything that's been going on and Santo trying to work too many jobs. "Aw, lame. I want at least a cookie bouquet."

Victor hopes Santo is enjoying this too. He missed just hanging out and goofing off with Santo but life on the turtle seems to work against it. Trying to find a new job cuts into free time as well. "I don't think they do those here."

"Dude, don't tell me that right before sleeping," He sighs, finally settling in under his blanket and closing his eyes to sleep. "You're gonna make me sad."

"Don't worry, I'll make it up to you tomorrow," Victor replies, closing his eyes as well. "And we'll make our own when we get some cookies."

"Yeah you better... But that totally defeats the purpose of cookie bouquets."

"Don't think too much on it."
