Semi Open//Running is the best medicine
Characters: Tommy Shepherd, Kal-El, Molly Hayes, Natasha Romanoff and Rikki Barnes
Date: After this thread, backdated before the satellite event
Location: Turtles Edge, Metal Sector, Rikki's apartment
Situation: Tommy's trying to deal with the fact he might be a dad, and Molly needs to have a talk about the birds and the bees. And then Rikki comes back to talk to Tommy. It's like straight up teenage drama in here.
Warnings/Rating: Talk of potential pregnancy and explanations of sex through use of handpuppets. And most likely swearing.
[Tommy needed time to clear his head. And whilst running around the shell wasn't probably the best idea, he'd done it anyway, taking a bag of snacks with him. He hadn't known how long he was going to be, and he couldn't get rid of the pit in his stomach that was laced with guilt. Steve had already spoken to Rikki and to him in the least threatening way he could have mustered. Tommy wasn't sure if that made it ten times worse or better. Talking to Steve, about the possibility of there actually being a child had just soured his stomach and sent his head reeling. Why hadn't he just stopped and gone to get a condom? It had been his responsibility as much as hers. And he should be taking the full blame for this.
He knew if Steph was still here she would be pummelling him right about now. As would Brandon. God, he missed them both so much. He would have gone to them with this, gone to them for help even though they both would have smacked him sideways and called him an idiot. But he was stuck wandering the shell on his own, trying to make sense of it all.
He literally can't believe how stupid he'd been. It would have taken him seconds to go back and get a condom, but he'd been too wrapped up, and too convinced that it wouldn't happen to them that he'd not bothered. He was an idiot.
When Tommy reached the edge of the shell he skidded to a halt to watch the waves lap at the edge, flopping down so he can catch his breath and look out over the vast ocean to try and clear his head and figure out what the hell he was going to do.]

The park. I thought maybe Captain America would come back and I didn't wanna be here if he did.
no subject
Nah, I don't think he's coming back for a while. [He gives her a small smile, and pulls the hat off and puts it on himself. Pink really isn't his color.]
And I think he's more mad at me than you.
no subject
I know. But I don't like him.
[ she falls silent and looks around a little ]
Did Rikki go somewhere?
no subject
Don't let him find out, or he'll try his hardest to make you like him.
[He blinks, and then looks around for where the note had gotten to, producing it for Molly.]
Out. I guess.
no subject
Oh. [ She looks at the note, then bites her lip ] Rikki's not leaving, is she? I mean, I like you better, but... She's gonna come back. Right?
no subject
I don't really like him either. He totally kidnapped Billy this one time.
[He sighs and leans against the couch, rubbing at his face. He's quite obviously tired.]
Well, this is technically her apartment, kiddo. [he gives her a weak smile.] Don't worry. She'll be back. [he's not sure for who's sake he's saying that for.]
no subject
[ And she will repeat this to the end of time, because A GROWN-UP WHO AGREES! ]
...Okay. [ If she snuggles a bit closer, it's just 'cause she's sleepy, and not because she's trying to comfort Tommy or because she's worried. ] It'd be kinda cool if she does have a baby, though. I wouldn't be the baby anymore.
no subject
[he smiles when he says it, nudging her in the side. And then she's snuggling closer, and for a moment Tommy feels like he needs to shove her off because he feels constricted. But it's Molly, so he shifts a little, and frees up a bit of space and feels better.]
Yeah but. [He frowns. Trying to make this lighthearted it sort of hard.]
I would have to pay attention to it instead of you, and babies aren't really that fun. --And hey, since when were you a baby?
no subject
[ Hm, he's got a point. ] I'm not a baby, I'm the baby. I'm the youngest, so everybody treats me like I'm a tiny kid.
[ beat ]
Okay, not everybody, and not you, but lots of people.
no subject
Hm. Well, you're pretty short. [He gives her another smile.]
But you're not the baby. You can beat up people like three times the size of you, and I feel sorry for anyone who calls you a baby and then gets their ass handed to them.
no subject
[ She's very worn out, though, all told, from hanging out with Miss Natasha. She's just gonna yawn again and close her eyes while she leans up against Tommy.
It's not sleep, honest. Just eye rest. ]
no subject
Exactly. Their own faults for messing with Princess Powerful.
no subject
[ ...what? She's comfy and happy and she is relieved they don't have like. Syphilis or anything! Shut up. ]
no subject
Y'know what? Me too. Diseases suck.
