[Ellie stared at all the snow, mostly ignoring the games going on as much as she could. Snow was fucking cold, which she already knew. But this was more than just snow being cold. This was reminding her of that god damned shack in the woods. Of the blizzard she'd had to fucking wander through in his fucking town.

She scoffed a bit to herself, placing her hands to her mouth and breathing on them, then rubbing them together to generate some warmth.

Screw it, she promised she'd go get a bird, and damn it, she was going to get the biggest fucking bird she could find, scaly bullshit aside.

But there was a part of her that was super jealous of the people still managing to have fun in the snow. The entire idea was almost completely fucking ruined for her. Man just... She readjusts her bag on her shoulders-- bow and arrows visible as she makes her way out to the open spaces on the turtle.

[Ellie's out here to facilitate their collective Thanksgiving, so it's only fair that Jim, when he sees her heading out, should probably tag along. He's helping a kedan child put the finishing touches on a snowman that looks suspiciously like Evandau when he spots her, and with a final playful ruffle to the kid's hair he dashes off after her, waving to get her attention.]

[Someone said her name, she was sure of it. She glances around, before she finally sees Jim. Well, speak of the devil. She grins and waves in response to him. Perfect, distractions aside, Ellie liked talking to Jim. He was relaxed-- he kind of reminded her of Henry. Kind of.]

Hey! Gonna try and catch a bird with me or something? [she joked immediately as she watched him approach] Because I'll have you know, I'm gonna catch the biggest one I can find.

Well, you know. I bet some people figure you could use some 'adult supervision'.
