June Catch-All
Characters: Dove and YOU :D
Date: June!
Location: Anywhere
Situation: Dove bonds with folks
Warnings/Rating:None at the moment
For a one of a kind, personalized starter, Plurk me! (Dovefire)
CLOSED to Yuri
It had been an interesting ride thus far, taking on her new roles in this strange place. The hard work wasn't without it's perks, though.
Despite the occasional witnessing a sick episode and the near constant tingle of worry in the back of her mind, Dove had secretly enjoyed checking in on Yuri each day, if only for the familiarity of the face of a friend and the satisfaction of taking care of someone again. Not that her job at the Healing Guild wasn't enough, but this was different. It had been nice getting to know him, even if their time spent together was sporadic in time and he wascompletely somewhat distant emotionally. It only made her more curious.
And her curiosity provoked her so easily. After knocking on his door at the hotel, she waited, leaning against the doorframe as she absently played with a lock of hair. She had to at least get him out of the hotel once with her...

Yuri had gotten used to Dove's frequent visits, and already knew who it was when she knocked. She had a particular way of knocking after all. Light and dainty with a distinct sound that nobody else had. So... it was pretty easy to tell.
She would actually find him sitting on his bed, cleaning the blade of Second Star. The light glinting off the shining steel as he polished it.
The episodes most certainly still happened, and to say it was getting old was no exaggeration. But it was something that he just had to deal with, and Yuri just took it all in stride.

"Soldier... Nobody's called me that since I was in the Knights."

"Yeah, for about four months." He says this while going back to cleaning his sword.
no subject
"Four months? Was there a war in your world?" Maybe, if there had been, it had ended after only four months of his involvement.

He continued polishing his sword, seemingly unbothered by the conversation. He didn't really talk about it much though. Usually only when people asked about it. Which was rare. Most people didn't peg him as the military type. And they would be right.

"It's nice to hear of wars ending," she sighed, taking a seat in a chair nearby. It didn't seem like they were going anyplace any time soon, and now she was curious. "Ours never does." A shrug.
"So did you just want to try it out, or was there something else?"
no subject
"I was bored," he said simply.

It made sense right?

"Yeah, something like that. It's a long boring story."

He then relaxed, a little amused smile on his face.
"Heh. I don't really talk about it much."
It wasn't the best of memories after all.

The sentiment, no matter her teasing tone, was honest. It was nice finally having a deeper conversation with him.
no subject
"Uh... yeah. It's been pretty crazy. It's nice to actually do something normal, I guess."
Because some of that was not at all embarrassing.
no subject
She'd be sure to continue the conversation no matter where they ended up.

He says it indifferently, but actually he's starving too. He can't keep his food down half the time anymore. That Vertigo makes living pretty inconvenient.
But with that, Yuri slides the blade back into it's sheath and puts the cloth down on the bed.

At his agreement, she stood and straightened her shirt before heading to the door. "Any preferences?"
no subject
"Hey, I'm game for just about anything so long as the food is good."
Surprise him Dove, you probably know these places better than he does anyway.

After a few minutes of walking, they would find themselves outside of one of the taverns, with Dove content to stride through the door and lead them to the bar as if it were nothing at all for an angel to be in such a place.
Nevermind the looks she was receiving.
no subject
"Not that I'm complaining, but I didn't expect a classy lady like you to bring us here, Princess."
Cause wow, this didn't seem like her taste at all. More like his to be honest.

Yeah, interesting choice of words there Dove. But color him interested. He certainly has no problem walking over and dropping himself into a seat across from her.
"Yeah, I can't really argue with that."
Though he'd been through worse, but he was really referring to the whole suit deal.
