June Catch-All
Characters: Dove and YOU :D
Date: June!
Location: Anywhere
Situation: Dove bonds with folks
Warnings/Rating:None at the moment
For a one of a kind, personalized starter, Plurk me! (Dovefire)
CLOSED to Yuri
It had been an interesting ride thus far, taking on her new roles in this strange place. The hard work wasn't without it's perks, though.
Despite the occasional witnessing a sick episode and the near constant tingle of worry in the back of her mind, Dove had secretly enjoyed checking in on Yuri each day, if only for the familiarity of the face of a friend and the satisfaction of taking care of someone again. Not that her job at the Healing Guild wasn't enough, but this was different. It had been nice getting to know him, even if their time spent together was sporadic in time and he wascompletely somewhat distant emotionally. It only made her more curious.
And her curiosity provoked her so easily. After knocking on his door at the hotel, she waited, leaning against the doorframe as she absently played with a lock of hair. She had to at least get him out of the hotel once with her...

"Yeah, something like that. It's a long boring story."

He then relaxed, a little amused smile on his face.
"Heh. I don't really talk about it much."
It wasn't the best of memories after all.
no subject
The sentiment, no matter her teasing tone, was honest. It was nice finally having a deeper conversation with him.
no subject
"Uh... yeah. It's been pretty crazy. It's nice to actually do something normal, I guess."
Because some of that was not at all embarrassing.
no subject
She'd be sure to continue the conversation no matter where they ended up.

He says it indifferently, but actually he's starving too. He can't keep his food down half the time anymore. That Vertigo makes living pretty inconvenient.
But with that, Yuri slides the blade back into it's sheath and puts the cloth down on the bed.

At his agreement, she stood and straightened her shirt before heading to the door. "Any preferences?"
no subject
"Hey, I'm game for just about anything so long as the food is good."
Surprise him Dove, you probably know these places better than he does anyway.
no subject
After a few minutes of walking, they would find themselves outside of one of the taverns, with Dove content to stride through the door and lead them to the bar as if it were nothing at all for an angel to be in such a place.
Nevermind the looks she was receiving.

"Not that I'm complaining, but I didn't expect a classy lady like you to bring us here, Princess."
Cause wow, this didn't seem like her taste at all. More like his to be honest.
no subject
no subject
Yeah, interesting choice of words there Dove. But color him interested. He certainly has no problem walking over and dropping himself into a seat across from her.
"Yeah, I can't really argue with that."
Though he'd been through worse, but he was really referring to the whole suit deal.

"I guess it would be rude to refuse a lady."
And so he takes her up on her offer and scoots a bit closer. Not too close mind you, but definitely closer.

"I guess I'll have what she's having."
Looked decent enough. And if it was sweet, all the better.
"And do you have any curry?"
Do they even know what curry is?

"Where do you want me to start?"
no subject
"Start at the beginning, and finish with today," she suggested, shrugging.
no subject
"Old man? Damn, if only Raven could hear that one."
He's never had one of his own nicknames turned on him quite like that before. But he reigned himself in pretty quickly.
"The beginning, huh? Well, I grew up in the Lower Quarter of Zaphias. I didn't have any parents, so the people there raised me. I was handed off pretty regularly until I was old enough to take care of myself."
no subject
So he didn't know his parents... But it didn't seem to upset him, or at least, not anymore. That explained his confident independence. "It takes a village..." she responded softly, attentive. "Seems like they did a good job, though. How old were you when you decided you could take care of yourself?"
no subject
Yuri had been quite a handful growing up.

The Kedan chose then to bring yuri his drink, but didn't interrupt their conversation more than just a moment to ask if they needed anything.
no subject
He then looked up at the Kedan returned, taking the drink and indicating he didn't need anything else. Yuri then took a sip and then blinked in surprise, staring at the beverage.
"Hey, that's pretty good."
