[EVENT] ONCE MORE TO THE OPEN SEA
Characters: ALL
Date: Throughout August
Location: Hatal from 1st-16th, Keeliai all month
Situation: With Tu Vishan once more awake, hurried preparations are made for the departure from the continent.
Warnings/Rating: Add warnings in subject headers as needed.
August starts much the same way as July ended, cold and stuck, but within a day or so a change is evident: at night, the bioluminescence of Tu Vishan's shell begins pulsing, in a bright, specific pattern.
Deciphered, the pattern counts down, pointing to the 16th. The citizens of Keeliai have that long to prepare, to finish their business and make any farewells they need to, before Tu Vishan resumes the itinerant lifestyle to which he was so long accustomed.
The waking of the turtle means, broadly, joy in the city, and also a bustling sense of busyness, as people who had grown comfortable in the patterns of Tavimbi-and-Keeliai find it's time to go their separate ways and rush to get affairs in order. For all that it's a departure, it's hopeful, coming as it does at a time when the state of the city is shifting as well, toward something perhaps more unified.
Tu Vishan is awake. The turtle moves.

SETTING SAIL
Not unsurprisingly, this is many people's first experience with sea sickness, not used to what has always been solid land swaying back and forth on them!
The Great Turtle seems to get a better hang of things once they've retreated from Tavimbi however, and turning westward provides some truly spectacular sunsets to sail toward, as if Konryu itself is welcoming Asti back to the living.
Open!
But this. This is something he's going to experience without the mask. Mostly because no one will think twice about Adrien Agreste having a quiet moment, while with Chat...well, that's a little more questionable.
And so, Adrien moves to the turtles head to watch them move away from Tavimbi, thrilling in the pitch and sway of the turtle as they go. This is so very different to sailing on the Seine. It's exciting! He has absolutely no idea where they'll end up, and that's honestly where most of the thrill comes from. This is what freedom really feels like.
He can be found at the turtle's head for a while, enjoying the feeling of peace emanating from the place and looking out into the horizon. He's talking quietly with looks like a black blob sitting on his shoulder. But as soon as someone comes close enough to make out the shape of it, it vanishes away like it was never there to begin with.

Any idea where we're going?
no subject
Nope! I haven' got a clue. Isn't it exciting?
[Too bad, Bucky, he knows nothing. ]
no subject
It is?
[ Because what if the turtle decides to go on a kamikaze mission? ]
no subject
[That happy beam sure isn't going anywhere. ]
We could end up absolutely anywhere! Meet a whole new sort of people. See a whole new country. I think that's pretty cool.
no subject
It could be exciting. But if they mean this turtle harm?
no subject
[Of course, he'd plan to do that as Chat Noir, but he could still help people as Adrien, too, so it's not a complete lie.]
no subject
What's your name?
no subject
I'm Adrien.
no subject
[ He reminds him of someone else, it's uncanny. He pauses. ]
How long have you been here?
no subject
[He genuinely means that, too. Meeting strangers wasn't exactly something on the cards for him before he came here. Not without great difficulty, anyway. ]
About seven months, now.
no subject
Same. [ Seven months. He can't imagine being here for that long. ] You don't miss home?
no subject
And Ladybug is here. She makes everything much easier. Much brighter. But he knows they have a duty back home. That they have to go back and defend it.]
I miss Paris a lot, and the people in it. But this place has its perks. It's not all bad.
How about you?
no subject
Can't complain. [ He says simply, looking out into the horizon. Anything else is just unnecessary. ] Has there been stories of the worlds this turtle's been to?
no subject
[He's admittedly been so focused on learning about the evil that befell the turtle, that learning about past locations slipped him by. ]
